Abstract: Disclosed is a hinge assembly comprising a first hinge leaf assembly and a second hinge leaf assembly, each having their respective hinge leaf. The first hinge leaf assembly is connectable to the second hinge leaf assembly and when so connected the first hinge leaf assembly is rotatable relative to the second hinge leaf assembly about an axis. The hinge assembly further comprises at least one mounting member fixable to a moveable barrier or a structure through a fixing arrangement. The first and/or second hinge leaf is connectable to the at least one mounting member so as to be adjustable relative thereto in a least one direction. A locking arrangement is also included to releasably lock the first and/or second hinge leaf to the at least one mounting member.

A fluid circulation assembly creates a hydrocarbon liquid flow on a liquid path, and a gas circulation assembly circulates a gas flow along a gas path. The gas inlet and outlet and the fluid inlet and outlet of the tank may be arranged to create a crossflow and counterflow of the liquid and gas flows in the chamber of the tank such that sulfur-containing compounds are transferred from the liquid to the gas flow. A gas processor assembly may remove sulfur-containing compounds from the gas flow before recirculating the gas flow. The gas flow may be predominantly nitrogen (N2) gas.

Abstract: An ice protection system includes an aircraft surface and a gutter defined in the aircraft surface between raised rails. The gutter includes a mouth that narrows into a trailing portion of the gutter. The mouth is configured to channel water runback rivulets into the trailing portion of the gutter. The gutter can be a first gutter of a plurality of side by side gutters, each including a respective mouth narrowing into a respective trailing portion, wherein the gutters are separated from one another by respective rails.

The printed circuit board may include a connector that allows the board to be connected to a main logic board. A switch on the printed circuit board may be actuated by a power button on the portable computer. An opaque member with an array of holes may be used to reduce light bleed between adjacent light-emitting diodes. Diffusing plastic may be mounted within the array of holes. Bumps in the diffusing plastic may mate with corresponding holes on a portable computer housing.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for managing game state for one or more games accessed by devices of a user. One method includes an operation for providing a database on a server. The database is accessible by the devices of the user and is structured to identify one or more applications of the user, each application being associated with a plurality of slots, and each slot including metadata and a map table. Further, an Application Programming Interface (API) is provided to enable access to the database. The method further includes an operation for receiving a request using the API from an application executed at one of the devices of the user. The request identifies a first slot associated with the application and an action to perform regarding one or both of the metadata and the map table. The request from the application is verified, including comparing a first version associated with the first slot and a second version provided in the request.

Abstract: Systems and methods for visual light communication are provided. The system can include a gateway arranged to convert radio frequency communications into visual light communication signals and an active light relay arranged to exchange visual light communication signals with the gateway. The system also includes a passive light relay arranged to exchange visual light communication signals with the active light relay and a communication device arranged to exchange visual light communication signals with one of the active light relay of the passive light relay.

Abstract: A network architecture for underground communication using redundant interconnected communication systems utilizes an aboveground master control station to send a status request message to a belowground gateway. The gateway may then, in turn, broadcast a status request message to a plurality of communication hubs located throughout an underground region using each of a plurality of potentially available communication systems. In the event that one of the communication hubs fails to respond over the then-current communication system, the master control station may switch the current communication system being used to a truly available system.

Abstract: Wireless communication is provided using very low frequency signals to environments that are otherwise difficult to reach. In one embodiment, a mobile wireless system is configured to automatically orient its antenna. A monitoring module is used to detect a current signal strength of a received radio frequency signal, as well as a current position for the mobile system. This information is compared to an expected signal strength for the current position in order to determine if the antenna should be adjusted or otherwise realigned.

Abstract: Systems and methods of exchanging voice chat information are provided. Voice chat information is received and the received voice chat information is placed into one or more packets. A control channel is selected and the one or more packets are transmitted over the selected control channel. The voice chat information can be transmitted in short messaging service (SMS) packets over the control channel. Moreover, voice chat information is exchanged between first and second communication stations by way of a SMS gateway, and media and signaling information are exchanged between the first and second communication stations independent on the SMS gateway.
