  • Publication number: 20230198588
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for analog beamforming performed by a transmitter (110) of a wireless communication network (100). The transmitter (110) comprises a plurality of antenna branches (114, 115, 116), each antenna branch comprising an antenna element (111, 112, 113). The method comprises, for each antenna branch (114, 115, 116), obtaining a first and a second signal of an analog radio signal, the first and the second signal being split from the analog radio signal and the analog radio signal being the same at each of the antenna branches, and obtaining information indicating a branch-specific phase-shift angle and a branch-specific amplitude determined from information identifying a radiation pattern comprising at least two directions for wireless transmission to at least one receiver (120).

  • Patent number: 10708868
Abstract: A method for evaluating performance between a network node and at least one test radio head, each one of the at least one test radio heads being located remotely from the network node. The method is performed in the network node, and comprises sending a loopback signal to at least one test radio head to add a loopback of its transmission signal on its receiving signal; sending a transmission signal to the at least one test radio head; receiving a received signal from the at least one test radio head; and determining a performance by comparing the received signal with the transmission signal.

  • Patent number: 10070396
Abstract: Network node and method therein for inter cell interference coordination. A method in a network node comprises estimating spatial properties of a radio channel between a base station and at least part of an underlay/neighboring cell based on information about spatial properties of a radio channel between the base station and a respective at least one user equipment (UE) located in a region associated with inter cell interference in relation to the underlay/neighboring cell. A transmission is adapted to a UE, served by the base station in a reduced power subframe, based on a correlation between the spatial properties of the radio channel and estimated spatial properties of a radio channel between the base station and the UE. The method enables control of interference subjected towards the underlay/neighboring cell, caused by downlink transmission to the UE.

  • Patent number: 9531866
Abstract: There is provided mitigation of disconnect events in a vectoring based digital subscriber line, DSL, system. A method performed by a digital subscriber line access multiplexer, DSLAM, comprises detecting a loss of signal or disconnect event of a line in a vectored group of DSL lines, the loss of signal or disconnect event causing a negative impact on the DSL system. The method further comprises detecting a change in at least one downstream, DS, crosstalk coefficient of at least one line in said vectored group of DSL lines. The method further comprises determining a magnitude of said change. The method further comprises determining where the loss of signal or disconnect event has occurred by processing precoding coefficients of the vectored group of DSL lines. The method further comprises determining, on basis of the determined magnitude and where the loss of signal or disconnect event has occurred, an action to be performed by the DSLAM so as to mitigate for said negative impact.

  • Patent number: 8170472
Abstract: A mobile telephone is easy to carry around but has a small keypad and a small display. A normal deskphone has a big keypad and display and has a convenient handset, but is stationary. A stationary communications terminal is described which is connected to a mobile telephony network via a mobile telephone. The mobile and the stationary terminal have each a BLUETOOTH radio transceiver and are interconnected via a BLUETOOTH link. The stationary communications terminal lacks identity in the mobile network. A subscriber, owning the mobile, can call on the stationary communications terminal and can move to another network having another stationary terminal, on which he can make a call. Another subscriber with a mobile can call on the communications stationary terminal. To prevent misuse the subscribers take an authentication code for his respective mobile on the stationary terminal, and the authentication can be made valid for a predetermined period by taking a service code.

  • Publication number: 20100025143
Abstract: A heavy vehicle includes a drive unit arranged substantially along a longitudinal geometrical axis of the vehicle. The drive unit is inclined by being pivoted about an axis whereby the drive unit forms an angle relative to the longitudinal geometrical axis. The pivot axis is situated in an intersectional point between the longitudinal geometrical axis and a longitudinal center axis of the drive unit, and the intersectional point is situated in a position within the extension of the drive unit.

  • Patent number: 6937703
Abstract: The present invention relates to a telephone system, an exchange and a method for setting up telephone connections between a computer, which is an extension of the exchange, and the exchange via a computer network. The exchange comprises a switch core, a switch control means for setting up connections and a network connection device connected between the switch core and the computer network. The computer comprises a function for use as a telephone and has a computer network address. The network connection device registers the computer as a telephone to which calls can be made in the switch control means, sets up at least one traffic channel via the computer network for sending speech signals, and, receives data packets containing telephony from the computer over the traffic channel and removes a signal structure suitable for telephony from the data packets. The switch control means allocates a telephone number to the computer.

  • Patent number: 6873697
Abstract: The present invention relates to a telecommunications exchange (1) and a method for handling call diversions such that emergence of so-called trombone connections is avoided. According to the inventive telecommunications exchange (1) and method, trombone connections are avoided by means of changing a diversion of calls placed to a first extension number (No(V)) in the exchange, from being diverted to a second remote extension number (No(A)), which is used to set up a data connection (15), to instead be diverted to a predetermined third extension number (No(S)). An advantage of the present invention is that connections that previously unnecessarily used three trunk channels, by means of the invention instead are set up on a single trunk channel. Thereby available trunk resources are utilized more efficiently in a telecommunications system.

  • Patent number: 6687354
Abstract: The present invention refers to a telephone exchange, a telephone system comprising such an exchange as well as a method for connecting a computer to a computer network via an exchange and a telecommunication network, where the exchange comprises a switch core, a switch control means responsible for setting up connections between users of the exchange and at least one network connection device that is connected between the switch core and the computer network. The network connection device comprises a signal processing means that converts the signal structure of data signals, received from computers via the telecommunication network and the switch core, to data packets having a signal structure suitable for data communication and supplies these data packets to the computer network. The exchange comprises means for monitoring every connection set up between such a computer and the computer network.

  • Patent number: 6614888
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for a telecommunication system comprising an exchange (1), which comprises a network connection device (6), which provides a user (A) with the possibility to connect a computer (12) to a data network (3), as well as a telephony server (7), which provides said user with the possibility to, during an ongoing data network session, use the service telephony on the same subscriber line (14), which is being used for the data network connection. The invention makes the handling of user information in the exchange (1) more efficient, by providing the network connection device and the telephony server with user information, which is entered in one single user data base (10). The data base is used for operation and maintenance personnel entering static user information and for entering session related user information, which is obtained during one single access control at connection to the data network (3).
