  • Publication number: 20240140133
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a high volume branding system for branding baked goods with a desired indicia. The system includes a branding conveyor for receiving the baked goods in the pans and conveying the pans downstream. The system also includes a branding station positioned above the branding conveyor. The branding station includes a shuttle that is provided with a branding press. The shuttle is configured to travel downstream with the branding conveyor in a first direction and upstream in a second direction. The shuttle is configured to align a branding press with at least one of the pans on the branding conveyor while the pan is moving downstream with the branding conveyor. The branding press includes a branding plate that is heated and lowered with the branding press onto the baked goods in the pan while the shuttle is moving downstream along with the pan and branding conveyor to brand indicia onto the baked goods.

  • Patent number: 9145259
Abstract: A center column drive for a spiral conveyor is used to rotate a drive tower to move a conveyor belt in a helical pattern. The drive tower is driven by the center column drive to cause rotation about a vertical axis. The center column drive includes a base having a platform and a plurality of support legs that support the platform. The center column drive also includes a slew ring that is secured to the platform at one end and to a center column of the drive tower and a second end. Rotation of an electric gear motor causes rotation of a portion of the slew ring, which, in turn, rotates the drive tower.

  • Patent number: 4657516
Abstract: A life preserver device which is constructed with an inflatable inner bag located inside an inflatable outer bag, with the device being deployed in the back of a seat in an aircraft. When extremely rough turbulance is encountered or a crash landing is envisioned, pressurized air is supplied to the inner bag through a break-away tube, causing the inner bag to inflate, expanding the outer bag around it from the back of the seat to act as an impact cushion. Following a landing in the water, the device may be removed from the seat by breaking the break-away tube and causing the device to deflate, put on by the passenger, and the inflatable outer bag reinflated by a gas cylinder prior to exiting the aircraft into the water.

  • Patent number: 4565535
Abstract: The improved device includes a hollow container with latched door, inside of which is coiled an inflatable, body contoured gas bag releasably connected to the container and gravity deployable through the door. The device includes valves, conduits and the like to automatically or manually inflate and deflate the bag. The container is adapted to fit into the back of an airliner seat and when in that position and inflated acts as an effective crash barrier for a passenger sitting behind the bag. A strap or the like is also provided for releasably securing the bag to a person as a flotation device when the need arises. Therefore, the bag serves a dual function. The bag, when inflated, includes an upper horizontal portion with head-receiving opening and a vertical lower portion with end panel sides adapted to receive a passengers upper torso. The bag can include two sections releasably secured front to back, both of which act as the crash barrier and one of which acts as an individual flotation device.
