Abstract: Fiber optic terminals having one or more connector ports configured for receiving fiber optic connector having a latching trigger used as a connector securing/release mechanism connectors are disclosed. The fiber optic terminals comprise an actuator along with a flexible tab that are associated with the respective connector port of the shell of the fiber optic terminal. The actuator may translate to engage the flexible tab for engaging with the latching trigger of the fiber optic connector for allowing the release of the fiber optic connector from the connector port. An example of a fiber optic connector having a latching trigger used as a connector securing/release mechanism are LC connectors, but the terminal concepts may be used with other suitable connectors such as SC connectors having a latching trigger.

Abstract: A fiber optic management unit for handling optical fibers unit having a base with first and second segments miming perpendicular to each other. A tray is pivotably attached to the second segment such that the tray is transferable between a first position in which the fiber routing track of the first segment is closed and a second position in which the fiber routing track of the first segment is opened when the tray is pivoted around a first axis, and wherein the tray is transferable between the second position in which the fiber routing track of the first segment is opened and a third position in which the fiber routing track of the first segment is also opened when the tray is pivoted around a second axis running perpendicular to the first axis.

Abstract: A fiber optic distribution device for handling optical fibers, especially wall box, is disclosed. The fiber optic distribution device includes housing with a back wall having parallel grooves, a front wall and side walls defining together an interior of the housing. Fiber optic management units like patch units and/or splice units and/or overlength units for handling optical fibers and/or junctions between optical fibers mount in the interior of the housing to the back wall. The back wall has at least one set of parallel grooves, whereby each fiber optic management unit is mounted to the back wall by fastening elements acting together with at least one of grooves.
