Abstract: According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention there is provided a stopcock including a housing element defining at least first, second and third ports, a handle element which is selectably positionable relative to the housing element, at least one fluid passageway communicating between at least two of the at least first, second and third ports, the at least one fluid passageway being selectably defined by at least one of the housing element and the handle element, the at least one fluid passageway being configured for enabling flushing an internal volume of at least one of the first, second and third ports by a fluid flow which does not flow entirely through the port whose internal volume is being flushed.

Abstract: A blood sampling/injecting valve includes a housing formed with a cavity extending along a longitudinal axis of the housing, the cavity is adapted for sealingly receiving a syringe Luer connector and the housing further is provided with an inlet port and an outlet port. The valve includes also a plunger formed with a through going communication conduit and with a flow path for a liquid. The flow path is configured as a recess, which is opened to a top face of the plunger and to a lateral surface of the plunger. The plunger is axially displaceable by the Luer connector between a flow position in which the communication conduit directly communicates between the inlet port and the outlet port and a sampling/injecting position in which the flow path directly communicates between the Luer connector and the outlet port, while the inlet port is disconnected from the outlet port. The plunger is normally biased into the flow position.

Abstract: A liquid sampling device (10) comprising a housing (12) defining a confined volume (90) and fitted with an inlet port (22) and an outlet port (18) and a drawing member (30) formed with a conduit (38) and being displaceable between a flow position in which the conduit communicates between the inlet port and the outlet port, and a drawing position in which communication between the inlet port and the outlet port is interfered and wherein upon displacing the drawing member (3) into the drawing position, liquid is drawn into the confined volume (10) via the outlet port (18).
