  • Patent number: 8038965
Abstract: The present invention relates to a diagnostic kit and more specifically to a self contained diagnostic kit providing analysis of a sample by a sample collectin element and an immunochromatography test strip.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 30, 2007
Date of Patent: October 18, 2011
    Assignee: Alere Switzerland GmbH
    Inventor: Tomer Keren
  • Patent number: 7704702
Abstract: A test strip configured for the detection of an analyte in a fluid sample and methods for manufacturing and for using the same. The test strip comprises a first flow matrix and a second flow matrix sequentially arranged to form an interface therebetween. The first flow matrix comprises a detection composition movably bound thereto, wherein the detection composition when exposed to the analyte produces at least one detectable product and wherein the first and second solid matrices are selected so as to accumulate the at least one detectable product at the interface between the two matrices, when the fluid sample travels from the first flow matrix to the second flow matrix.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 10, 2006
Date of Patent: April 27, 2010
    Assignee: Inverness Medical Switzerland GmbH
Inventors: Tomer Keren, Oren Shraga Dwir
  • Patent number: 7591978
Abstract: A solid-phase test device and a method for the detection of sialidase activity in a fluid sample. The test device includes a solid support provided with a pre-deposited dry form of a sialidase detecting composition. The sialidase detecting composition includes a sialidase substrate and a color-developing reagent. When the sialidase substrate is exposed to sialidase it yields an intermediate compound which reacts with the color-developing reagent to form a detectable color change.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 10, 2006
Date of Patent: September 22, 2009
    Assignee: Inverness Medical Switzerland GmbH
Inventors: Oren Shraga Dwir, Tomer Keren, Falk Fish
  • Patent number: 7591791
Abstract: A diagnostic device for performing a diagnostic blood test of a subject comprising a thimble-like element adapted to be engaged with the subject's finger, a puncturing unit for producing a blood sample from the subject's finger, and an at least one test element in flow communication with said blood sample.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 21, 2007
Date of Patent: September 22, 2009
    Assignee: Inverness Medical Switzerland GmbH
    Inventor: Tomer Keren
