    Abstract: An auxiliary chair for use in restraining young children in vehicles. The chair is capable of either frontward or backward orientation and in each case the portion thereof that engages the seat belt of the vehicle remains in the same relative position. The engagement portion is on an engagement arm that is movable between a frontward and a rearward position, and in each position locks both the chair body and the chair base thereto for security. The chair is tiltable to several orientations and is locked into several tilt positions via a shaft through the body that rides in a slot within locking plates in the base. The locking plate locks the position due to springs forcing the plates upward. The lock is easily released by handles on the sides of the base.

    Abstract: A folding and lock mechanism for a pushcart includes a bracket pivotally mounted at its proximal end on a rear face of a rear leg intermediate opposite ends of the rear leg so that the bracket can be pivotally moved along the rear face of the rear leg between a generally upstanding position and a lower position. A retainer plate is formed on a lower end of a handle grip, and has a bifurcated end of a generally L-shape or inverted Y-shape defined by a pair of engaging arms. The retainer plate is pivotally connected to the distal end of the bracket at that portion of the retainer plate where the pair of engaging arms merge together. One of the two engaging arms is fitted in a groove formed in the distal end of the bracket to maintain the assembled condition of the pushcart whereas the other engaging arm is fitted in the groove to maintain the folded condition of the pushcart. A tubular stopper is fitted on the distal end portion of the bracket and is slidingly movable along the bracket.

    Abstract: An auxiliary chair is to be removably mounted on an automotive seat. The chair comprises a seat portion having a front edge and a rear edge, a backrest extending from said rear edge of the seat portion, and an adjuster a slant angle of the seat portion. The adjuster includes a pair of adjusting bars each of which pivotally attached at its proximal end to a lower portion of the seat portion, so that the adjusting bar may take a forward portion and a rearward position. A fixing mechanism includes a pair of engaging levers each of which is pivotally attached at its proximal end portion to a side surface of the seat portion so that its distal end portion may freely be angularly moved. The fixing mechanism further includes associated engagement mechanisms each of which is provided at the side of the seat portion and is engagable with the proximal end portion of the engaging lever.

The pair of infant-arresting belts are provided to be freely fastened to the belt-stop mechanism at the respective longitudinally middle portions thereof.

    Abstract: A foot cover for a baby buggy capable of positively protecting the feet and legs of a baby place in a reclining position from the wind. A front cover is attached to a lower plate portion. A core wire runs along the periphery of the front cover. Ends of the core wire are pivotally connected to foot cover holders placed around the front legs of the buggy. The foot cover holders have integral grippers into which side portions of the core wire are fit to hold the foot cover in its raised position.
