  • Patent number: 11656085
Abstract: Location data is obtained in which an arrival link from which a vehicle can enter a location serving as a destination and an arrival link direction are associated with the location, the arrival link direction indicating a direction in which the vehicle can enter upon entering the location from the arrival link. A cost related to the arrival link is corrected based on the obtained location data. A route to the destination is searched for, using the corrected cost related to the arrival link.

  • Patent number: 11237002
Abstract: A server is connected to a communication terminal and configured to receive a departure point, a destination, and a route retrieval request from the departure point to the destination from the terminal and to deliver a route retrieved in response to the received route retrieval request to the terminal. When the route retrieval request is acquired from the terminal, the server acquires route information related to a target route that is a route corresponding to a predetermined distance from the departure point in a terminal-recommended route that is a route from the departure point to the destination and is retrieved by using terminal-side map information provided in the terminal. The server retrieves a route to the destination that includes at least a part of the target route by using device-side map information provided in the server and the route information, and delivers the retrieved route to the terminal.

  • Publication number: 20190186929
Abstract: Route search devices, systems, and programs obtain current traffic information indicating traffic conditions at a present time and obtain statistical traffic information, the statistical traffic information being statistical information obtained by collecting statistics of histories of traffic information. The devices, systems, and programs determine a degree of traffic congestion of a road at the present time, identify travel time for a road whose degree of traffic congestion is greater than or equal to a threshold, based on the current traffic information, and identify travel time for a road whose degree of traffic congestion is less than the threshold, based on the statistical traffic information. The devices, systems, and programs then search for a route to a destination, using the identified travel time.

  • Publication number: 20090164111
Abstract: A navigation apparatus for searching for a route from a place of departure to a destination includes an information storage unit storing map data in a hierarchical structure, a route-searching unit for retrieving the map data from the information storage unit, searching for a route within a predetermined area on the departure side and on the destination side, and obtaining a route with the lowest cost in the range of overlapped search areas, and a control unit for controlling the search by the route-searching unit. The control unit updates the registered cost for the lowest cost route when the cost of the route of lowest cost obtained by searching up to a higher level within the hierarchy is smaller than that previously registered cost.
