  • Patent number: 4376337
Abstract: A multi-channel magnetic transducer head is formed by combining two core blocks with a magnetic gap therebetween. On the confronting surface of one of two core blocks, there is provided a plurality of parallel grooves. On the confronting surface of another core block, there is provided a gap defining a groove extending perpendicular to the parallel grooves. A plurality of first conductor strips are formed on the confronting surface of the one core and in the parallel grooves and the strips extend in the direction substantially perpendicular to the parallel grooves. Another surface of the one core opposite to the confronting surface is ground until the conductor strips are disposed on the surface and the cores are separated into a plurality of core elements. Second conductor strips are formed on the opposite surface to form coils around the core elements in co-operation with the first conductor strips.
