  • Patent number: 8118568
Abstract: A hermetic compressor has a hermetic container storing oil, and a compressing element accommodated in the hermetic container and compressing a refrigerant gas. The compressing element has a compression chamber, a cylinder forming the compression chamber, a piston inserted into the cylinder for reciprocation, and a suction muffler whose one end communicates with the compression chamber. The suction muffler has a sound deadening space, a gas flow forming part forming a gas flow flowing in a constant direction in the sound deadening space, and an oil discharge opening provided in a downstream side of the gas flow in a lower part of the sound deadening space. By this construction, there is realized a hermetic compressor in which the oil does not readily remain in the suction muffler, whose noise is lower, and whose performance is stabilized.

  • Publication number: 20090116985
Abstract: A hermetic compressor including a discharge valve system in a cylinder. A discharge valve system includes a discharge reed having an opening/closing portion and a discharge reed holding portion, a spring reed having a movable portion and a spring reed holding portion, and a stopper having a regulation portion and a stopper holding portion. The discharge reed, the spring reed and the stopper are fixed in this order to a pedestal of a valve plate. At a spring reed bending portion provided in a movable portion, the movable portion is bent toward the direction of the valve seat and the tip portion is brought into contact with the plate contact portion. Space is provided between the movable portion of the spring reed and the opening/closing portion of the discharge reed, and both are not brought into close contact with each other. Thus, delay in closing discharge reed can be prevented and deterioration of the refrigerating capacity can be suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20090004031
Abstract: A hermetic compressor includes a hermetic container having an inner space, a cylinder accommodated in the hermetic container and arranged to compress refrigerant, an intake muffler accommodated in the hermetic container and having a silencer space having a longitudinal direction, a communication tube communicating with the cylinder, and a tail tube communicating with the inner space of the hermetic container. The communication tube and the tail tube have first and second opening ends opening in the silencer space, respectively. The first and second opening ends are located in a predetermined direction from a center of the silencer space along the longitudinal direction of the silencer space. A distance between the first opening end and the second opening end along the longitudinal direction is shorter than at least one of a distance between the first opening end and the center along the longitudinal direction and a distance between the second opening end and the center along the longitudinal direction.

  • Publication number: 20080247886
Abstract: A hermetic compressor has a hermetic container storing an oil, and a compressing element accommodated in the hermetic container and compressing a refrigerant gas; the compressing element has a compressing chamber, a cylinder forming the compressing chamber, a piston inserted into the cylinder and reciprocating, and a suction muffler (140) whose one end communicates with the compressing chamber; and the suction muffler (140) has a sound deadening space (142), a gas flow forming part (144) forming a gas flow (143) flowing in a constant direction in the sound deadening space (142), and an oil discharged opening (146) provided in a downstream side of the gas flow (143) in a lower part of the sound deadening space (142). By this constitution, there is realized the hermetic compressor in which the oil is more difficult to remain in the suction muffler (140), whose noise is lower, and whose performance is stabilized.

  • Publication number: 20080202613
Abstract: A hermetic compressor that has a pedestal of the valve plate to which a discharge reed equipped with an opening/closing part and discharge reed holding part, a spring reed equipped with a movable part and spring reed holding part, and a stopper equipped with a regulation part and stopper holding part, are fixed in this sequence, and also has a discharge valve device in which the spring reed is shaped in a substantially crank-like form is provided. A space is formed between the movable part of the spring reed and the opening/closing part of the discharge reed, and both are not adsorbed each other, thus preventing a delay in closing of the discharge reed. This makeup suppresses a decrease in freezing capacity of a fridge-freezer device and the like, thus implementing higher efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7134847
Abstract: The present invention provides an hermetic electric compressor capable of stably supplying oil to a compression chamber with a low noise level. The hermetic electric compressor has a closed vessel, an electric element, a compressing element that is disposed over the electric element and driven by the electric element, and an oil reservoir. The hermetic electric compressor also has an oil supply mechanism for supplying the oil from the oil reservoir to the compressing element in the closed vessel, and a suction muffler that communicates with a refrigerant suction part for sucking a refrigerant into the compressing element and is formed of a box body having a predetermined spatial volume. The suction muffler is positioned below the position where the oil is supplied into the closed vessel, and the box body has at least one oil suction port used for sucking a predetermined amount of oil.

  • Patent number: 7052248
Abstract: A hermetic compressor is equipped with a suction muffler including: a muffling space having two rooms; a communication space to communicate these two rooms with each other; a first communication passage to communicate a movable valve with the muffling space and extending to an opening into the muffling space; and a second communication passage to communicate an enclosed container with the muffling space and extending to an opening into the muffling space. The openings into the muffling space from the first and the second communication passages are disposed in one of the two rooms, and the other room of the two rooms forms a resonance muffler whose resonance frequency matches a cavity resonance frequency of the enclosed container. The configuration can provide the hermetic compressor with a reduced noise emission and a high compression efficiency.
