  • Publication number: 20240041380
Abstract: The present disclosure lies in the general field of clinical electrocardiography (ECG), more specifically in ECG methods comprising precordial ECG amplitude measurements. The present invention relates to methods of determining a subject's corrected precordial ECG amplitude from an ECG measurement, which corrections are based on intraindividual changes such as the rotation position of the heart on the horizontal plane, and/or changes in body mass index. The methods are thus useful for adjustment of intraindividual changes over time in precordial ECG amplitudes, such as between two ECG measurements. The present invention further relates to a device, an apparatus and a computer program product, and to uses of said device, apparatus and computer program product in a method of determining a subject's corrected precordial ECG amplitude from an ECG measurement, and for improving the accuracy of electrocardiographic methods depending on precordial ECG amplitude measurements.

  • Publication number: 20230017159
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for marking positions for or for positioning of six ECG chest electrodes based on a subjects body height, which allows a reproducible placement of the electrodes in serial independent ECG measurements. The present invention further relates to a device for placement of ECG electrodes which implements said method, and methods and uses applying said device. Hence, the present invention provides an accurate and reproducible, easy to use and low-cost method and device for ECG chest electrode positioning, especially in serial examinations and in obese subjects by minimizing the mistakes in ECG chest electrode placement depending on the subjective and inaccurate defining of anatomic remarks for electrode positions.

  • Patent number: 11489461
Abstract: A thin film actuator having transversely oriented structural stiffeners that serve to increase actuation stroke that results from longitudinal curvature. The thin film actuator may be deployed within electromechanical devices such that an actuatable deflection of a tip of the actuator plate produces the actuation stroke. The thin film actuator may include an actuator plate affixed to a substantially rigid frame structure. The actuator plate protrudes along a longitudinal axis away from the frame structure such that the actuator plate is cantilevered from the frame structure by some distance along this longitudinal axis. The thin film actuator includes a piezoelectric film on a surface of the actuator plate. Activation of the piezoelectric film generates tensile stress or compressive stress at the surface, thereby inducing a bending moment that causes the actuator plate to undergo longitudinal curvature and some lesser degree of transverse curvature.

  • Patent number: 8950057
Abstract: A fabrication method for parallel-plate structures and a parallel-plate structure arrangement, wherein the structures have a middle layer, grown on a substrate and disposed between top and bottom electrode layers, wherein the middle layer and the top and bottom electrode layers are deposited on a bottom substrate, and wherein the middle layer is grown first and the top and bottom electrodes are essentially deposited afterwards.

  • Patent number: 8925163
Abstract: The invention describes a manufacturing method for an acoustic balanced-unbalanced (balun) or balanced-balanced thin-film BAW filter based on lateral acoustic coupling. In laterally acoustically coupled thin-film BAW filters (LBAW) one can realize transformation from unbalanced to balanced electric signal if the electrodes of the balanced port are placed on the opposite sides of the piezoelectric film. The manufacturing process is simpler than in the corresponding component based on vertical acoustical coupling. The device can also realize impedance transformation.
