  • Publication number: 20220297977
Abstract: An elevator safety system includes an electronic safety controller running a software including a monitoring mode for monitoring the position of an elevator car within a hoistway. The system includes a position measurement device for measuring the elevator car position. There are limit position identification markers being installed in the hoistway for defining a starting point of a final movement zone in which the car is still allowed to run in a direction to the outermost ends of the hoistway. However, as soon as the end of the final limit zone is reached by the car, an emergency stop is triggered. The position data for the final limit zone are laid down in a memory of the safety controller as parametrized data for being able to adjust them if so needed. Therewith, it can be avoided that the hardware components in the shaft have to be replaced.

  • Publication number: 20120315709
Abstract: Process for producing a solar cell substrate, where metal particles are deposited on the surface of substrate. Metal particles are produced by liquid flame spraying method in such a way that the mean diameter of the particles to be between 30 nm and 150 nm and the deposition process is controlled in such a way that the average distance between particles is not more than four times the mean diameter of particles. Apparatus for carrying out such process.

  • Publication number: 20120060536
Abstract: A method and apparatus for tempering material is provided. One or more liquids are atomized by at least one sprayer into droplets which are guided towards a surface of a hot material so that at least some of the droplets collide with the surface of the hot material and evaporate, thus removing thermal energy from the surface layer of the hot material. Impact members may be used to further reduce the size of the droplets. The droplets may be guided to the surface by a separate guiding gas flow.

  • Publication number: 20110014385
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for coating an article using a spray-coating method. Coating can be produced by atomizing a fluid coating precursor material into droplets with an average diameter of 0.5 to 5 micrometres. The droplets are introduced onto the article to be coated at a velocity that exceeds the critical impaction velocity. The evaporation of the droplets can be controlled by controlling the concentration of the fluid precursor material solvent in the spray chamber.

  • Publication number: 20100047554
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of modifying a surface of a glass product. The method comprises conveying particles to the surface of the glass, a material contained in the particles being at least partly dissolved and diffused in the glass. The method comprises a step of heating the surface of the glass. The invention further relates to an apparatus for modifying a surface of a hot glass product. The invention still further relates to glass products wherein the content of an element which provides the glass with a functionality decreases steplessly upon proceeding from the surface of the glass deeper into the glass.

  • Patent number: 6644952
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotating nozzle structure of an extruder which comprises a rotatable nozzle, a die, which rests against the extruder frame and which comprises an annular front surface on the nozzle side, and a sealing plate, which is arranged between the front surface of the die and the nozzle and pressed tightly against the sealing surface of the nozzle to seal the nozzle with respect to the die. According to the invention, the die is arranged to slide in the axial direction with respect to the extruder frame and comprises a flow channel, which is under pressure of the material to be extruded and tapers conically towards the nozzle, and that the ratio of the area (Atiiv) of the die's annular front surface to the area (Aproj) of the projection surface of the flow channel's conical section is between 0.1 and 10.

  • Patent number: 5981665
Abstract: A thermoplastic elastomer is achieved by absorbing an acrylate monomer, an initiator and eventually a diacrylate into polyolefin particles, after which the temperature is raised and the acrylate polymerises into the polyolefin and forms a dispersed phase, which has been functionalized by copolymerising a functional monomer together with the acrylate. As a compatibiliser a grafter polyolefin is used, which is melt-blended after the polymerisation into the thermoplastic elastomer or before the polymerisation into the polyolefin.
