Patent number: 11455758Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identification and tracking of large semi-closed eddies (e.g., oceanic eddies). For example, embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for detecting a cyclonic or anticyclonic eddy in the ocean and determining its size, shape, and intensity given a single input field. In an embodiment, this input is a two-dimensional (2D) gridded field of Sea Surface Height Anomaly (SSHA) or Absolute Dynamic Topography (ADT), both of which can be determined from satellite based observations. Embodiments of the present disclosure are more accurate and computationally efficient than traditional methods and further provide high adaptability that will enable additional improvements as advances are made in satellite-based observations.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 2019Date of Patent: September 27, 2022Assignee: The Government of the United States of America, as represented by the Secretarv of the NavyInventors: Bryce Melzer, Tommy Jensen, Adam Rydbeck, Ebenezer Nyadjro

Patent number: 11012171Abstract: A method for adding Time Marker Packets, TMPs, comprising Metadata to an MPEG-2 transport stream transmitted via a broadcast network for providing a deterministic transport stream, comprising providing feeds of data from at least one source, where the feeds comprise payload packets being referenced by a common 1 PPS reference, and where the feeds are input to at least one multiplexer, MUX; providing Time Marker Packets, TMPs, as input to each multiplexer, where each TMP comprises a plurality of time stamps per second measured relative to said 1 PPS reference, and each TMP has a value representing an Absolute Program Clock Reference, APCR, at the time of transmission, where the APCR is based on the Epoch time, and where the TMP packet further comprises PCR, OPCR locked to said 1 PPS and UTC leap seconds.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2016Date of Patent: May 18, 2021Assignee: Nevion ASInventors: Helge Stephansen, Bjørn Tommy Jensen, Anders Dale

Patent number: 7774295Abstract: A computer-implemented method of providing a track history of information previously requested from a database. The method includes: providing a track history of user-selectable records that have corresponding metadata items applicable to identify a data set from a data superset stored in the database; providing a bank of transformers with different user-selectable transformers; wherein a selected transformer takes a selected record and transforms the metadata items of the record to application specific metadata according to a syntax determined by the transformer; and activating an application, which accepts the determined syntax, comprising posting the application specific metadata.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2004Date of Patent: August 10, 2010Assignee: Targit A/SInventors: Morten Middelfart, Tommy Jensen

Patent number: 6238110Abstract: An apparatus for the preparation of a bath (15) for processing photographic material comprises a tank (14) adapted for holding the bath, a container (18) for holding a feedstock fluid and a separator (1) in fluid communication with the container to receive feedstock fluid from the container. The separator comprises a fluid inlet port (2), a liquid outlet (4), a vent opening (3) and means adapted for separating liquid and gas by a cyclone action. The separator provides a manifold for merging inlet flow connections from several containers. The invention provides an apparatus, a method, a manifold, and a use of a manifold.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2000Date of Patent: May 29, 2001Assignee: Glunz & Jensen A/SInventors: Tommy Jensen, Jens Havn Thorup, Henrik Wegge

Patent number: 6152618Abstract: An apparatus for the processing of photographic material, and in particular for the development of photographically exposed plates intended for printing plates in a printing operation, comprises an upwardly open tank (5) containing a bath of liquid, conveyor means for conveying the plates (2) along a path (4) in which they are descended obliquely down into the bath and withdrawn again, and at least one movable brush (9) for brushing the top face of the plate. According to the invention the brush is enclosed in a downwards open cavity (12) which has its lower edge immersed into the bath and which is evacuated in order that liquid is sucked thereinto. The invention also comprises a washing apparatus and a method for the processing of photographic material.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 1999Date of Patent: November 28, 2000Assignee: Glunz & Jensen A/SInventors: Tommy Jensen, Finn Hougaard, Henrik Bockmann Petersen
