  • Patent number: 9325378
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for determining the positioning of computer display devices using transmitted radio signals. A computing device may receive a radio signal transmitted by a display device. Based on the received radio signal, the computing device may determine the position of the display device. The computing device may then output a video signal to the display device, based on the determined position. The video signal may include a user interface for the computing device according to the determined position. Changes in the position of the display device may be detected based on radio signals, and the output video signal may be changed as well.

  • Patent number: 8730295
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for enhancing transmitted audio signals for a video conference call are disclosed. Facial recognition technology and audio processing techniques determine a position of a speaking member of a party on a video conference. Based on the determined position of the speaking member, the directionality of the received audio signals can be adjusted towards the speaking member. The video conference system can transmit the adjusted audio signals.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 20, 2014
    Assignee: Broadcom Corporation
    Inventors: Tommy Kee, Wilfrid LeBlanc
  • Publication number: 20120327176
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for enhancing user privacy on a video conference call are disclosed. Facial recognition technology determines a privacy intent of a user. Based on the privacy intent of the user and one or more privacy settings, a video conference system can enter a privacy mode. The video conference system can exit the privacy mode when the privacy intent of the user changes, according to the privacy settings.
