  • Patent number: 7848304
Abstract: Multiple transport channels (405, 406, 407) are multiplexed and transmitted in a single physical channel. A code (TFCI) is added to the transport channel data flows to indicate which processing schemes, from a set of available schemes, are being employed and the resultant blocks are interleaved. The depth of the interleaving is set in dependence on the transmission time intervals associated with the schemes in the set of processing schemes.

Date of Patent: December 7, 2010
    Assignee: Nokia Corporation
Inventors: Tommy Kristensen Bysted, Kent Pedersen, Benoist Sebire
  • Publication number: 20090016473
Abstract: A method of generating a received signal quality signal in a communication system, the method comprising: receiving a signal from a physical channel, extracting a transport channel format combination indicator from the received signal, processing one or more transport channel signals, contained in the received signal, in accordance with the extracted transport channel format combination indicator, said processing including at least channel decoding, and generating a received signal quality signal in dependence on the quality of the or each transport channel signal prior to channel decoding.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 17, 2008
    Publication date: January 15, 2009
    Applicant: Spyder Navigations L.L.C.
