  • Publication number: 20240300591
Abstract: A tailgate assembly includes a tailgate body, a tailgate sub-body and a link. The tailgate body is pivotable relative to a vehicle about a first axis between first and second positions, and defines at least one storage area. The tailgate sub-body is connected to the tailgate body, and is moveable relative thereto between third and fourth positions. The link is connected to the tailgate body and the tailgate sub-body, and is moveable between a first link position, in which the tailgate sub-body is in the third position, and a second link position, in which the tailgate sub-body is in the fourth position. With the tailgate body in the first position, and the link in the first link position, the tailgate assembly is in a first configuration. With the tailgate body in the second position, and the link in the second link position, the tailgate assembly is in a second configuration.

  • Patent number: 10017915
Abstract: A frame for supporting an implement (e.g. a plow) on a vehicle is disclosed. The support frame extends longitudinally and generally comprises, at its rear end, a rear attachment mechanism for removably mounting the support frame to the underside of the vehicle, and at its front end, a front attachment assembly for supporting the implement. The frame comprises a rear section and a front section hingedly connected together such that the front section can pivot upwardly with respect to the rear section. The support frame also comprises a biasing assembly or mechanism, generally comprising a resilient member engaging the front and rear sections, such as to downwardly bias the front portion. By overcoming the downward bias of the biasing assembly, the front section can be further raised with respect to the ground surface, thereby providing greater clearance.

  • Publication number: 20160222627
Abstract: It is disclosed a powered pivot assembly for rotatably coupling an implement, e.g a plow blade, to an end of a frame assembly adapted to be driven by a vehicle. The powered pivot assembly is drivingly engaged with the frame assembly to rotate the implement about a generally vertical axis. The pivot assembly comprises an electric motor for causing rotation of the implement. It is also disclosed a pivotal plow system comprising a frame assembly having a first end adapted to be mounted to a vehicle; and an implement being coupled to a second end of the frame assembly and rotatable relative thereto about a generally vertical axis. The plow assembly comprises a pivot assembly drivingly engaged with the frame assembly and operable to rotate said plow assembly and blade. The pivot assembly comprises a motor for causing rotation of the plow assembly and blade about the generally vertical axis.
