    Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, and signal-bearing medium that in an embodiment determine when to switch between containers based on whether the current fill rate of the container is within a threshold of the slowest fill rate of the container and whether a current size of the container is between a soft threshold and a hard threshold. In this way, the switching of the container is based on a history of how fast the container is filling and how busy the system is in order to diminish the performance effect of switching on the application that is generating data to fill the container.
