Abstract: There are disclosed a method, apparatuses and a computer program product for sensing a movement of an object in proximity of a sensing panel. In some embodiments of the method proximity data indicative of existence of one or more pointing objects in proximity of a sensing panel is formed. It is also determined from the proximity data whether at least one of the pointing objects touches the sensing panel. If the determining indicates at least one touch of at least one pointing object, it is determined if a probability that movement of one or more of the pointing objects in proximity of the sensing panel illustrates a predetermined gesture. The probability is compared to a predetermined threshold; and a touch event is sent, if the probability is less than the predetermined threshold.
