  • Patent number: 8020140
Abstract: According to the media server 100 and the network control apparatus 200, upon distributing a plurality of media data to the media receiving apparatuses 400 having different transmission rates by broadcasting or multicasting, the distribution precedence is attached by associating the program control information and the media data. The distribution precedence attached to the program control information is set same as or lower than the distribution precedence of all media data included in the program concerned. Then, depending on the distribution precedence, the transmission possible media data and the program only are selectively distributed. The program control information relating to the program that includes the receivable media data by the media receiving terminal apparatus 400 only is selected and received. This way, the receivable media data is distributed depending on the transmission environment of the media receiving apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7552092
Abstract: In the present invention, a program is provided with a dummy module into which a watermark can be inserted without any effect on the operation of the program, and an digital signature. It is thereby possible for a distributor to insert a watermark for specifying a user to the dummy module, and to prevent unauthorized leakage of the program by the distributor. Further, by providing the program body with an digital signature, it is possible to prevent tampering of the program by the distributor.

  • Patent number: 7474674
Abstract: A data relay processing method where an available transmission band is partially reserved, partially assigned or partially exchanged between multiple communication terminals. Pieces of information are communicated between the multiple terminals. Such information includes a schedule of a term in which the transmission band is available, and a communication price that is charged to terminals in exchange for the usage of the transmission band. A schedule of transmission band usage and history of transmission band usage are utilized to efficiently reserve, assign or exchange the transmission band.

  • Publication number: 20080256518
Abstract: Disclosure is made of a source code checker and a source code checking method, for checking properties related to program behaviors meant by source code for a computer program; of a program for making execute the method; and of a storage medium for storing the program. This source code checking method includes a path extracting step and a checking information determining step. The path extracting step simulates a program described in source code for a computer program preliminarily input, to extract an instruction series to be actually executed. The checking information determining step determines checking information of the source code according to the instruction series extracted in the path extracting step.

  • Patent number: 7437121
Abstract: There is provided a transmitting section for receiving program information representative of an outline and receiving condition of a receivable program and further receiving a program on the basis of the program information, and a zone-change determining section for detecting a change of the program information. The program selecting section causes the transmitting section to suspend program reception and to switch a communication port, on the basis of a determination of a change of program distribution area by the zone-change determining section. Due to this, the transmitting section is allowed to continuously receive the program so far received. This, in the case a program is provided at a communication port different based on each region, makes it possible to correctly receive a program even if moving traversing a region.

  • Patent number: 7430219
Abstract: When a transport rate Rs is updated, in the case where the updated transport rate Rs is within a variable range (Rc<Rs<U×Rc, and U>1) defined by a current encoding rate Rc, FEC (Forward Error Correction) data sending rate Rf is updated (Rf=Rs?Rc) without updating the current encoding rate Rc. On the other hand, in the case where an Rc update timer set to three seconds, for example, is timed out, the encoding rate Rc is updated using a minimum value Rs_min of the transport rate up to that time (Rc=V×Rs_min, and 0<V<1). Even when the transport rate Rs greatly varies to be out of the variable range, the encoding rate Rc is updated in the same manner.

  • Patent number: 7421243
Abstract: An apparatus includes a storage section that stores stored content, a content receiving section that receives content, a received content storage section that stores received content, and a playback section that plays back the stored content or the received content. A playback control section controls the playback section to switch between playing back the stored content and playing back the received content. A content list management section manages a content list that stores combinations of an address of content relating to a location within a predetermined area, and the location. A location detection section detects current location information and a received content determination section determines content that should be received from the content list based on the current location information.

  • Patent number: 7333439
Abstract: The packet loss in a wired section is reported to a receiving terminal (61) using a loss notification packet from a gateway (62) located at the boundary between a wired section and a wireless section, and thus the causes for packet loss are separated. Also, using this loss notification packet, the packet loss rate in the wired section and the wireless section are separately calculated and the transmission rate and robustness of the data packets are determined with a sending terminal (60) in accordance with the respective loss rate of the sections.

  • Publication number: 20050262347
Abstract: The present invention generates watermark from ID information that uniquely identifies a program distribution destination, inserts the generated watermark in a program, and prevents the program from operating correctly if the watermark is tampered with, and also inserts the same watermark verification code in a program regardless of the distribution destination. By this means, it is possible to prevent detection of watermark verification code constituting a watermark by means of collusion attack.
