  • Publication number: 20240026927
Abstract: The present invention provides a grease composition which makes it possible to prevent deterioration in sealing properties even when base oil having a kinetic viscosity of as low as, for example, 5-40 mm2/s is used and which makes it possible to realize both sealing properties and a decrease in torque. The present invention also provides a rolling device. A sealing member (12a) comprises a plurality of sealing lips (114), (115), (116) each of which is made of an elastic material. A grease composition is sealed in void parts (121), (122) that are each located between a sliding surface of a slinger (106), on which the plurality of sealing lips slide, and two adjacent sealing lips. This grease composition contains base oil and a polar polymer. The polar polymer has a weight-average molecular weight of 5,000-140,000.

  • Patent number: 7816103
Abstract: A protein having amino acid sequence in SEQ ID No.:1 of the Sequence Listing derived from human MP52, and a dimer protein thereof. A homodimer protein described above can be obtained by constructing a plasmid containing DNA coding amino acid sequence in SEQ ID No.:1 of the Sequence Listing with a methionine at the N-terminus, introducing the plasmid into E. coli for transformation, solubilizing inclusion bodies obtained by culturing the transformant, purifying the monomer protein from the solubilized solution, refolding the monomer protein into a dimer protein and purifying the same. The homodimer protein described above is useful as a pharmaceutical composition for treating cartilage and bone diseases.

  • Publication number: 20090003742
Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a grease composition capable of keeping a good lubrication condition for a long period of time even when water has mixed therein, thereby inhibiting white structure flaking and corrosion. Another object is to provide a vehicular hub unit bearing which hardly suffers from white structure flaking and corrosion even when used in an environment where water may penetrate into it and which therefore has a long life. The invention provides a rolling bearing with, sealed up therein, a grease composition containing a waterproof film-forming additive added thereto; a grease composition for hub unit bearings, containing a base oil that comprises at least one of mineral oil and synthetic oil as the main ingredient thereof, and a thickener and a flaking inhibitor; and a vehicular hub unit bearing with the grease composition sealed up therein.

  • Patent number: 4531893
Abstract: A variable output vane pump for use with an automotive automatic transmission. At least one pressure chamber is formed between the circular bore of a housing and the outer circumference of a ring by means of at least one seal pin which is fitted in the axial groove formed in the ring circumference and which is opened in the housing bore. The ring is urged by the action of a spring, which is fitted in the housing, in a direction opposite to the pressure to be built up by the pressure chamber. An elastic member is fitted in the bottom of the axial groove to urge the seal pin both toward the housing bore and at the same time toward one of the side walls of the axial groove. The urging direction of the elastic member and a tangential line, on which the seal pin is tangential to the housing bore, are angularly positioned at an acute angle with respect to each other.
