  • Patent number: 11175016
Abstract: A planar illumination device includes a light source substrate, a lens, a diffuser, and a spacer. The light source substrate includes a plurality of light-emitting devices two-dimensionally arrayed thereon. The lens receives light emitted from the light source substrate. The diffuser receives light emitted from the lens. The spacer is integrated with the diffuser and disposed between the lens and the diffuser.

  • Patent number: 6778487
Abstract: A plurality of positioning parts for positioning a disc chucking member that is inserted are formed in a circumferential surface of the disc engaging part of a turntable by providing stepped surfaces that are lower than a disc sliding surface of the circumferential surface of the disc engaging part. Molding pins are passed through these positioning parts, and the turntable is molded with the disk chucking member being positioned in this way. As a result, in a disc chucking apparatus and a disc-drive that use the turntable, a disc can be smoothly chucked without being impeded by the positioning parts of the disc chucking member that is inserted onto the disc engaging part, and recording and reproduction can be favorably performed.

  • Patent number: 6751182
Abstract: A disk drive apparatus for recording (writing) and/or reproducing (reading) an information signal by rotating an optical disk, and moving an optical pick-up device along an information recording face of the optical disk. A base chassis rotationally supports a turntable on which the optical disk is loaded. A head feed mechanism suitable for use in the disk drive apparatus includes a pick-up feed mechanism having a feed shaft for moving the optical pick-up device toward and away from the turntable. A bearing portion of the feed shaft is provided integrally with the base chassis.

  • Patent number: 6646972
Abstract: An optical pickup device is positioned in confronting relationship to an optical disc for reading an information signal from and/or writing an information signal on the optical disc. The optical pickup device includes an optical unit having at least a light source for emitting a light beam and a photodetector for detecting a light beam returned from the optical recording medium, and a converging system for converging the light beam emitted from the light source onto a signal recording surface of the optical recording medium. The optical unit includes a light guide for guiding the light beam toward the converging system and a light-transmissive optical plate covering the light guide.

  • Patent number: 6614748
Abstract: There is a problem that a high fitting accuracy between the table body and a chucking ring of a turntable is requested because the table body and the chucking ring are separately constituted and the chucking ring is integrated with the table body by fitting the ring to the body. The present invention relates to a disk drive comprising a turntable (47) on which an optical disk (33) used to reproduce an information signal is mounted and a spindle motor (51) to whose rotating portion the turntable (47) is set. The turntable (47) is provided with a mounting portion (47a) on which the optical disk (33) is mounted and a fitting portion (47b) to be fitted to the center hole (33a) of the optical disk (33) and having an elastic piece (14b) to be pressure-welded to the inner periphery of the center hole (33a), in which the mounting portion (47a) and the fitting portion (47b) are formed into one body.
