  • Patent number: 6437779
Abstract: The present invention is an image processing method for drawing an integrated shaping model which has a plurality of models linked by a hierarchical structure, where at least a first models has a plurality of vertices constituting polygons and at least the position of a first vertex is influenced by positions of a plurality of models and weight values from these models. The data (110) of the integrated shaping model comprises: format data of a common vertex buffer which stores data on the plurality of vertices in the plurality of models for each model; a vertex list which is created for each model which influences the vertices and has vertex data specified by a vertex ID in the common vertex buffer; and a polygon list which is created for each model having the polygon and includes polygon data where the vertex ID is attribute data.

  • Patent number: 6422004
Abstract: An engine control system causes a NOx trapping substance to release absorbed NOx by increasing an amount of fuel and spraying the fuel through primary fuel injection which is made at a primary fuel injection timing near a dead top center of a compression stroke and post-fuel injection which is made at a post-fuel injection timing between an expansion stroke and an exhaust stoke after said primary fuel injection with a retardation which is large at the beginning of implementation of the post-fuel injection and, thereafter changed small.

  • Patent number: 6382177
Abstract: In a direct injection diesel engine in which fuel to be sprayed during a primary injection is split and sprayed at a plurality of timings at a point of time near top dead center of a compression stroke of a cylinder, a judger judges that a completion timing of the primary injection is later than a point of time corresponding to 35° after top dead center of a compression stroke when the primary injection is split while an engine is operated. Upon such a judgment, a split number of the primary injection and an injection intermission interval are reduced by a corrector to advance the injection completion timing. Further, an amount of fuel to be sprayed during the primary injection is reduced for correction, and a part of the fuel is preliminarily sprayed during the second half of the compression stroke of the cylinder by an auxiliary injection controller so as to respond to such a correction.

  • Patent number: 6354269
Abstract: When refreshing a catalyst (22) disposed in an exhaust line (20) during operation of a diesel engine (1), diesel engine control increases supercharging pressure by throttling nozzles of a turbocharger (25) so as to increase an amount of air that is charged into a combustion chamber (4) and then opens an exhaust gas recirculation valve (24) and holds it open until a exhaust gas recirculation ratio reaches a specified value. Subsequently, the diesel engine control increases an amount of fuel injection until a mean combustion chamber air-to-fuel ratio reaches a value near a stoichiometric air-to-fuel ratio so as to lower the oxygen concentration of exhaust gas, thereby causing the catalyst (22) to release NOx therefrom and purify the exhaust gas.

  • Publication number: 20010043429
Abstract: An actuator driving method and an actuator driving device for PWM-driving an actuator of a storage disk device are disclosed. This method and device prevent a servo signal from being overlapped with switching noises. The storage disk device includes a head for reading information from a storage disk, a PWM driver for generating a drive current having a pulse width corresponding to a current indication value, a linear driver for generating a drive current of which a magnitude corresponds to the current indication value, an actuator, driven by the drive current, for moving the head, and a control circuit for generating the current indication value for positioning the head from the servo information read by the head from the storage disk. The driving method includes a step of PWM-driving the actuator by the PWM driver, and a step of effecting a switchover from the PWM drive to a linear drive by the linear driver during a period for which the control circuit reads the servo information.

  • Patent number: 4972497
Abstract: Image coding system where document retrieval and printing are compatible, comprises first step of dividing a first image into n.times.n meshes, second processing step of performing resolution conversion of the divided n.times.n meshes into one dot and obtaining a second image, third processing step of obtaining first data from the first image excluding all white meshes, and final processing step of decoding the first image from the first data and second image. Since a part of code data of the coded image is also provided with image for retrieval, and the first, second, third and final processing steps are executed, document retrieval image decoding processing for a display device (low resolution device) requiring high speed and image processing for an image printer requiring resolution rather than high speed are executed in hierarchy. Thereby low quality image can be obtained from code data of high quality image.
