Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes a housing including a recess portion and an ornamental lamp unit fit into the recess portion, wherein the ornamental lamp unit further includes a printed wiring board provided at a bottom of the recess portion, a light source mounted on the printed wiring board, and a first panel fixed to the housing such as to partition an outer environment and an inner side of the recess portion from each other and having translucency, and the first panel further includes a first surface set to face the light source and including a plurality of projection portions which diffuse light from the light source, and a second surface provided on an opposite side to the first surface, the second surface provided with a one-way mirror which transmits light from the light source and reflects light from the external environment.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus is configured to be provided with a communication line socket provided on a backside surface of a casing of the electronic apparatus, metallic terminals provided in the communication line socket, and abutment sections each of which is provided in the vicinity of the communication line socket, and is given a predetermined height from the metallic terminals in an insertion direction of the communication line socket. By virtue of the above configuration, even if it is tried to insert a wrong plug into the communication line socket by mistake, the wrong plug abuts against the abutment sections, and the insertion is stopped on the way.

The speaker unit includes a cabinet, a speaker arranged in the cabinet and exposed to the outside of the cabinet, and a port which is defined in the cabinet to open the outside of the cabinet and through which a sound emitted from the backside of the speaker into the cabinet is radiated outward from the cabinet. The speaker is exposed to the outside of the casing through an opening defined in an outside wall of the casing. The port of the speaker unit opens into the casing.

Abstract: When the wakeup signal generation function of a LAN docker is enabled, an ID (Dock_ID) peculiar to the LAN docker is registered in a PC main body. When the PC main body wakes up from the stop or sleep state in response to a wakeup signal Wake_up generated by a LAN controller in the LAN docker, a system BIOS collates the Dock_ID in the PC main body with the Dock_ID of the currently connected LAN docker. Only when a coincidence between the two IDs is detected by this collation process, the PC main body is accessible from a server using the LAN controller, thus allowing remote accesses.
