  • Patent number: 6530464
Abstract: A one-way clutch device comprises a plurality of torque transmitting members interposed between an inner race and an outer race for transmitting a rotation between the inner race and the outer race through the torque transmitting members only in one direction of rotation. A side part of the inner race is formed with a plurality of oil paths for supplying lubricating oil.

  • Publication number: 20030015389
Abstract: A one-way clutch apparatus is provided with a plurality of rollers interposed as torque-transmitting members between an inner ring and an outer ring and a cam surface formed on an outer peripheral wall of said inner ring such that by a combination of the cam surface and the rollers, transmission of rotating force is performed only in one direction between the inner ring and the outer ring. An inner side wall of a flange of a retainer, said flange being arranged alongside the rollers and inner ring, is provided on a radially inner side thereof with an annular recess. An outer peripheral end wall of the annular recess is located on a radially outer side of the cam surface of the inner ring only at deepest parts of the cam surface to permit supply of lube oil to the rollers through the annular recess of the flange and the deepest parts of the cam surface.

  • Publication number: 20020195306
Abstract: A oneway clutch device comprises a plurality of rollers interposed between an inner race and an outer race to transmit torque only at the time of relative rotation between the inner race and the outer race in one rotational direction, a spring for biasing these rollers toward a direction of engagement, and a retainer having a flange portion to be fitted on the inner race and a plurality of column portions and adapted to retain the rollers and the spring. The spring has a nip portion formed and bent to have a section substantially in a U form for nipping and retaining therebetween one of the column portions of the retainer. There is formed at least one latch means for preventing movement or falling off of the spring.

  • Publication number: 20020134636
Abstract: A oneway clutch device comprises a plurality of rollers interposed between an inner race and an outer race for carrying out torque transmission only at the time of relative rotation in one direction between the inner race and the outer race, springs for biasing these rollers in a direction of engagement, and a retainer having an annular portion to be fitted on the inner race for retaining the rollers and the springs. The retainer is formed with a roller latching piece formed for holding the rollers biased by the springs, together with the inner race in a state that it is not assembled in the outer race.

  • Patent number: 6125978
Abstract: A one-way clutch comprises plural sprags to be arranged between an outer ring and an inner ring, a retainer holding the sprags in place, and a spring guided by the retainer to urge the sprags in wedging directions. The retainer comprises a cylindrical part provided with sprag windows, which serve to retain the sprags, and a flange extending from one of opposite ends of the cylindrical part in radial directions of the cylindrical part and provided with plural slits, and is formed of a resiliently-deformable material. The flange comprises large-diameter portions and small-diameter portions separated from each other by the slits. The large-diameter portions of the flange can be press-fitted in a flange-receiving slot formed in an inner peripheral wall of the outer ring by causing the large-diameter portions to flex owing to the resiliency of the retainer, whereby the large-diameter portions can be maintained in engagement with the flange-receiving slot.

  • Patent number: 6079534
Abstract: A one-way clutch has an outer race and an inner race radially spaced apart from each other and concentrically disposed for rotation relative to each other, the outer race having an inner peripheral raceway surface, the inner race being disposed within the outer race and having an annular outer peripheral raceway surface, a plurality of cam type sprags disposed between the outer race and the inner race for transmitting a torque between the outer peripheral raceway surface and the inner peripheral raceway surface, an annular retainer for retaining the sprags, and a spring member for sandwiching the sprags between itself and the retainer and biasing the sprags in a meshing direction. The one-way clutch is further provided with bearings disposed in a circumferential direction among the cam type sprags and frictionally sliding on the inner peripheral surface of the outer race and the outer peripheral surface of the inner race.
