  • Patent number: 6965323
Abstract: In a motor vehicle sharing system for managing motor vehicles parked in a parking area and renting the motor vehicles to users, the motor vehicle is provided with a detector for detecting the start and end of motor vehicle rental, and a usage data measuring section for starting and completing measurements for motor vehicle usage data. The detector contains a position detector for detecting the parking area. The motor vehicle is further provided with a membership list in which user information is recorded, a charge list, a rentability judging section for judging whether the motor vehicle is rentable, and a charging data generating section for making charging data by referring to the motor vehicle usage data measured by the usage data measuring section and the charge list Thus, it is possible to perform the rental and return operation without relying on a control center.

  • Publication number: 20040122561
Abstract: When a staff member reports a start of daily work from a portable terminal to a control center, a staff member controlling section which is included in the controlling section starts to handle the staff member. Also, a motor vehicle controlling section which is included in the controlling section acknowledges a maintenance condition of a shared motor vehicle which is recorded in a motor vehicle master and a port master and a partiality condition of the motor vehicles in each port so as to detect a staff member's job which is supposed to be done by the staff member and a port position in which the job is necessary to be done by the staff member. The staff member controlling section selects a staff member who can arrive at the port first in which a new job occurs according to the estimated job completion time at which the staff member completes the present job. A job notifying section which is included in the controlling section notifies the job to the portable terminal of the staff member.

  • Patent number: 6177879
Abstract: After confirmation that a user is an authorized user by bringing a user certification into proximity to a user discriminating device, following the guidance of a touch panel display device, a battery is selected, and the battery, for which a lock thereof is unlocked, is taken out from a battery supply device. Thereafter, the battery is installed in a two electric wheeled vehicle in a parking apparatus, and the two wheeled electric vehicle is unlocked and used.

  • Patent number: 6157315
Abstract: After confirmation that a user is an authorized user by bringing a user certification into proximity to a user discrimination device, following the guidance of a touch panel display device, a desired two wheeled electric vehicle is selected. A key is retrieved from a key supply device, and a battery is retrieved from a battery supply device. Thereafter, the battery is installed in the two wheeled vehicle in a parking apparatus, and using the key, the two wheeled electric vehicle is unlocked and used.

  • Patent number: 5566244
Abstract: A workpiece surface is measured to detect a defective portion with a projection and a depression on the workpiece surface by using an optical inspecting apparatus having a projector for radiating a detecting light towards the workpiece surface and a picturing device for receiving a reflected light from the workpiece surface. A reflected light from the workpiece surface is pictured in a condition in which a focal surface of the picturing device is positioned away from the workpiece surface to the side of the picturing device relative to an entire region of that effective inspecting range of the workpiece surface from which the picturing device can receive the reflected light. The defective portion on the workpiece surface is detected from a dark portion which appears on the image of the picturing device.

  • Patent number: 5379347
Abstract: A method of inspecting a curved surface of a workpiece by a surface inspecting apparatus provided with a projecting device for illuminating the workpiece surface to be inspected with detection light, a detecting device for receiving and detecting the light reflected from the workpiece surface, and a condensing optical system for causing the reflected light to converge on a light-receiving surface of the detecting device. According to the method, the surface inspecting apparatus is successively displaced along the workpiece surface and the reflected light is detected by the detecting device. Further, image data obtained from the detecting device is held and binary digitized. It is determined whether or not the workpiece surface to be inspected is planar. If it is not planar, then the digitized image data is processed for dilation and erosion. Thus, when the workpiece surface is curved, faulty or defective spots can be reliably detected.
