  • Publication number: 20060224271
Abstract: A pattern selecting portion selects a desired embroidery pattern from a plurality of embroidery patterns. A pattern editing portion edits the embroidery pattern displayed on the display. A first determining portion determines, before the selected embroidery pattern is edited by the pattern editing portion, whether each of a plurality of embroidery frames is usable for sewing the selected embroidery pattern based on embroidery data for the selected embroidery pattern. A second determining portion determines, after the selected embroidery pattern is edited by the pattern editing portion, whether each of the plurality of embroidery frames is usable for sewing the edited embroidery pattern based on embroidery data for the edited embroidery pattern. A reporting portion reports when at least one embroidery frame determined to be usable by the second determining portion is different from at least one embroidery frame determined to be usable by the first determining portion.

  • Patent number: 7008653
Abstract: A method for improving the degree of deamidation (%) and the deamidation rate when deamidating a milk protein by an enzyme which exerts a deamidating effect by acting directly on an amide group of a protein without cleaving a peptide bond or crosslinking the protein is provided. A method for denaturing a milk protein enzymatically is also provided. A preliminarily denatured milk protein is deamidated by a protein deamidating enzyme which exerts a deamidating effect by acting directly on an amide group of a protein having a molecular weight of 5,000 or more without cleaving a peptide bond or crosslinking the protein. Such an enzyme can be used also for denaturing a milk protein.

  • Publication number: 20050175723
Abstract: It is intended to provide a method of practically obtaining a natural antioxidant, which gives a sense of security to consumers when added to foods, by efficiently taking out an antioxidant component from soybeans. It is confirmed that a hot water extract obtained by extracting a soybean seeds with hot water at a high temperature exceeding 100° C. under weakly acidic conditions has an antioxidant effect. A low-molecular weight fraction of this hot water extract is further fractionated by taking advantage of a difference in solubility in a water-containing organic solvent or using an appropriate filter suitable for the molecular weight size to thereby efficiently give a highly antioxidant fraction.

  • Patent number: 6730418
Abstract: Quinoline derivatives represented by formula (1) wherein two or more of substituents R1 to R7 are each a group of formula (2). In general formula (2), Q is a carbo- or hetero-aryl group; and the number (n) of double bonds is preferably 1 to 3. Use of such derivatives in an organic EL device provided with a layer of an organic compound and two electrodes sandwiching the layer as the organic compound gives devices emitting yellow to red light with high brightness and high efficiency. Further, doping a hole transport layer with such derivatives realizes organic EL devices capable of emitting lights of resultant colors (e.g., white) composed of lights from light-emitting and hole transport layers.

  • Publication number: 20030012980
Abstract: Quinoline derivatives represented by formula (1) wherein two or more of substituents R1 to R7 are each a group of formula (2). It is preferable that among the substituents R1 to R7, at least one of the substituents other than those of general formula (2) be an electron-whithdrawing group. In general formula (2), Q is a carbo- or hetero-aryl group; at least one of the substituents RQ on the group Q is preferably an electron-donating group; and the number (n) of double bonds is preferably 1 to 3. Use of such derivatives in an organic EL device provided with a layer of an organic compound and two electrodes sandwiching the layer as the organic compound gives devices emitting yellow to red light with high brightness and high efficiency. • Patent number: 6121127
Abstract: An electrode for a Group III nitride compound semiconductor having p-type conduction that has a double layer structure. The first metal electrode layer comprising, for example, nickel (Ni) and the second metal electrode layer comprising, for example, gold (Au). The Ni layer is formed on the Group III nitride compound semiconductor having p-type conduction, and the Au layer is formed on the Ni layer. Heat treatment changes or reverses the distribution of the elements Ni and Au. Namely, Au is distributed deeper into the Group III nitride compound semiconductor than is Ni. As a result, the resistivity of the electrode is lowered and its ohmic characteristics are improved as well as its adhesive strength.

  • Patent number: 5924374
Abstract: In a sewing data processing device, an LCD is switched to a pattern selecting screen when a user selects a desired stitch or sewing mode on a menu selecting screen. The user selects a desired embroidery pattern on the pattern selecting screen. When the selected embroidery pattern is a character pattern protected by copyright, a control device counts the number of times of use of the embroidery data of the selected character pattern to store data of the number of times of use in a non-volatile memory.

  • Patent number: 5868088
Abstract: A sewing machine having an embroidery frame and a drive unit for driving that frame with respect to the sewing needle, wherein the area occupied by the frame and drive unit can be reduced for storage. To do this, the user presses a storage button on an LCD touch panel screen. The CPU determines that a command has been given to reduce the area of the frame and drive unit for storage; calculates the amount of drive necessary to move the embroidery frame from its current position stored in nonvolatile memory to the position used for storing the drive unit; and controls drive motors to move the embroidery frame the distance calculated, reducing the overall area occupied by the frame and drive unit.

  • Patent number: 5791270
Abstract: A sewing pattern is located with respect to a predetermined sewable region (103) based on sewing pattern data indicative of a shape of the sewing pattern. The angular position of the sewing pattern can be changed into another angular position. It is judged whether or not the angular position-changed sewing pattern fits within the sewable region. When it is judged that the angular position-changed sewing pattern fails to fit within the sewable region, the angular position of the sewing pattern is further changed into still another angular position. It is indicated that the angular position of the sewing pattern has been further changed.
