  • Publication number: 20130250091
Abstract: An image processing apparatus that generates data of a display image from data on layer images having different resolutions includes a detection unit that detects a scroll or magnification change request, and a display image generation unit that generates the display image data based on the request, in which the display image generation unit determines whether the request is a high or low speed request when the display image data having a resolution different from those of the layer images is generated, generates the display image data through enlargement processing on data of any of the layer images having a resolution lower than that of the display image when the request is the high speed request, and generates the display image data through reduction processing on data of any of the layer images having a resolution higher than that of the display image in case of the low speed request.

  • Publication number: 20130250144
Abstract: An imaging apparatus images an imaging target region by dividing the imaging target region into a plurality of divided regions and generates a merged image of a larger region than the divided regions by merging the obtained images in the respective divided regions. A method of the imaging apparatus includes the steps of: acquiring a first image and a second image in each of the plurality of divided regions; performing image alignment between adjacent divided regions using the second images; and generating the merged image by merging the first images of the adjacent divided regions based on a result of the alignment performed using the second images. The second image is an image in which a depth of field or a focusing position, or both thereof is different from those of the first image.

  • Publication number: 20120147224
Abstract: An imaging apparatus has image sensors, an imaging optical system of which relative position with the image sensors is fixed, and a merging unit which connects images obtained by imaging while changing the relative position between the image sensors and the imaging optical system. Aberration of the imaging optical system in an image obtained by each image sensor is predetermined based on the relative position between the imaging optical system and the image sensor. The merging unit smoothes seams of the two images by setting a correction area in an overlapped area where the two images to be connected overlap with each other, and performing correction processing on pixels in the correction area. A size of the correction area is determined according to the difference in aberrations of the two images, which is determined by a combination of image sensors which have imaged the two images.

  • Publication number: 20120147232
Abstract: An imaging apparatus has two-dimensional image sensors which are discretely disposed, an imaging optical system which enlarges an image of an object and forms an image thereof on an imaging plane of the two-dimensional image sensors, and a moving unit which moves the object in order to execute a plurality of times of imaging while changing the divided area to be imaged by each of the two-dimensional image sensors. At least a part of the plurality of divided areas is deformed or displaced on the imaging plane due to aberration of the imaging optical system. Each position of the two-dimensional image sensors is adjusted according to a shape and position of the corresponding divided area on the imaging plane.

  • Publication number: 20120057014
Abstract: A plurality of image sensors are arranged so that each of odd rows is constituted by image sensors lined up in the X direction, and each of even rows is constituted by image sensors, more than that of the odd row by 1, lined up in the X direction at the same pitch as the odd row with a 1/2 phase shift with respect to the odd row. Light receiving areas of image sensors on both ends of the even row include both ends in the X direction of an imaging target area image respectively, and a length in the Y direction of an area covering the light receiving areas of the image sensors on the first row to the light receiving areas of the image sensors on the last row is longer than a length in the Y direction of the imaging target area image.

  • Patent number: 8045825
Abstract: A left-eye color discrimination unit (1101) and right-eye color discrimination unit (1102) generate mask images from virtual space images. If an error part exists at the boundary between a chroma key region and non-chroma key region in the mask image, each of a left-eye mask correction unit (1108) and right-eye mask correction unit (1110) corrects the error part using another mask image generated based on the other virtual space image in addition to the virtual space image.

  • Publication number: 20070046776
Abstract: For example, display image input units 131R, 131L detect additional information indicating left and right directionality from images for display. Then, in a stereoscopic display device having a display device for the right eye and a display device for the left eye, a switcher 132 capable of switching the connections between input and output input-output is controlled so that the correct image for display is provided to the correct display device. With such a configuration, even when the cables are connected incorrectly, it is still possible to input stereoscopic images to the stereoscopic display device so that such images are always displayed in the correct left-right relation.
