Abstract: An organic electroluminescence element includes: an organic layer which is located between a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer; a light extraction layer which is located on at least one surface of the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer so that directivity of light is changed; and a substrate located on the light extraction layer. The light extraction layer has a base material and a light-scattering particle of 1 to 5 wt. % of the base material. The above configuration allows a light extraction layer to be a single layer and makes it difficult to form a gap at an interface between a base material and light-scattering particles, so that light extraction efficiency can be enhanced.
