  • Publication number: 20040229606
Abstract: A wireless apparatus capable of being communicated to a plurality of terminal apparatus by a wireless manner, is comprised of: a wire interface for being communicated to the terminal apparatus by a wire manner; and control means for controlling a setting mode in which when the control means receives a transmit packet from the terminal apparatus connected to the wire interface and the transmit packet contains an address specific to the terminal apparatus, wireless setting information and/or network setting information are transmitted with respect to the terminal apparatus of the specific address. A wireless apparatus and a wireless terminal apparatus can be provided, which are known as a router apparatus, which are capable of easily setting a wireless unit such as SSID and an encryption system, and also capable of readily setting a network which contains the setting operation of the wireless unit.

  • Publication number: 20030152038
Abstract: A router facilitate a network setup including a Port No., and a network system employs the router. The router receives a transmission packet containing a MAC address broadcast from a terminal in a network. The router then relates the IP address and Port No. to the MAC address and store them as network information. The IP address and Port No. are different from those of a terminal already setup. This network information is sent by designating the MAC address. When a transmission packet designating Port No. of the terminal is received from an external network, the router forwards the transmission packet to the terminal whose Port No. stored matches the designated Port No.

  • Patent number: 5191487
Abstract: A helical-scan video tape recorder (VTR) records time-axis-compressed PCM audio signals on auxiliary recording tracks on a recording medium and has a synthesization circuit which mixes normal frequency-modulated audio signals (AFM audio signals), recorded on video tracks with video signals, with the time-axis-compressed Pulse-Code-Modulated audio signals (PCM signals) before reproduction through speakers. The PCM audio signals require digital processing for time-axis compression, and so are recorded and reproduced later than the AFM audio signals. Thus, when reproduced, the PCM audio component lags behind the AFM component, resulting in an echo effect. Adjustment of the relative amplitude levels of the two types of audio during synthesization produces acoustical effects that simulate the acoustics of a concert hall.
