    Abstract: To provide a vehicle operating pedal apparatus with a compact space for mounting an angle sensor that detects the angle of rotation of an operating pedal. A vehicle operating pedal apparatus (10) includes: a left support member (20) and a right support member (22) that face each other; an operating pedal (12) that is provided at the upper end with a boss (18), and supported between the left support member (20) and the right support member (22) in such a manner as to be pivotable via a pivot bolt (26) and a collar (29) that are inserted into the boss (18); and an angle sensor (50) configured to detect the angle of rotation of the operating pedal (12). The angle sensor (50) includes: an IC (56) provided on an inner side between the left support member (20) and the right support member (22); and a magnet (58) provided at the upper end of the operating pedal (12), facing the IC (56), to be detected by the IC (56).

    Abstract: When a lever main body is contacted to a stopper portion of a rearward movement preventing lever so as to suppress the rearward movement thereof as a dash panel is displaced rearward such as in the vehicle collision, an output connecting member is separated from a lever main body by fracturing fasteners member and only the lever main body is pivoted relatively in the output direction. Accordingly, regardless whether or not an operating rod can be displaced relatively to the vehicle front side, since at least the lever main body of the intermediate lever is pivoted relatively in the output direction, and the operating pedal connected to the lever main body through the connecting link is pivoted in the direction of tread operation so as to suppress the rearward movement of the tread portion, the rearward movement preventing effect can be obtained stably.

    Abstract: When the dash panel is displaced backwards, the intermediate lever is not pivoted relatively in an outputting direction, but a second connecting pin of a coupling link is detached from a cutout of the intermediate lever upon engagement of a contact section provided in the second pedal bracket with an operation pedal to release a connection between the intermediate lever and the operation pedal is released, and the operation pedal is made to pivot relatively in the direction of the tread operation. Regardless of whether or not the pivoting in the outputting direction of the intermediate lever is possible due to the operation rod not being able to be pushed in, the backdown of the tread section of the operation pedal is prevented as appropriate and a backdown preventing effect is stably achievable.
