  • Patent number: 10120052
Abstract: In one embodiment, a medical image processing apparatus includes a display and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to (a) calculate fluid information including flow-velocity vectors based on three-dimensional image data of plural time phases, which are acquired by a phase contrast method of magnetic resonance imaging, and in which fluid flowing inside a lumen is depicted, (b) identify a branching position where a second lumen branches from a first lumen, based on change in flow volume of fluid flowing inside the first lumen along an extending direction of the first lumen, and (c) cause the display to display an analysis result including fluid information of fluid flowing inside the second lumen, based on the branching position.

  • Patent number: 9746989
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a three-dimensional image processing apparatus includes at least a storage, an inputting unit, an image generating unit and a pointer controlling unit. The storage stores volume data of a target. The inputting unit receives an input operation for moving a pointer. The image generating unit generates a superimposed image in which a rendering image generated by performing a rendering process on the volume data and a pointer image are superimposed in consideration of information of depth. The pointer controlling unit obtains information of a three-dimensional position of the pointer. When the pointer is on the rendering image, the pointer controlling unit moves the pointer along a three-dimensional surface of a target contained in the volume data.

  • Publication number: 20060009692
Abstract: A medical image storage apparatus includes a receiving unit, a table preparation unit, the first storage unit, the second storage unit, the first unit, the second unit, and an output unit. The receiving unit is configured to receive medical image information resulting from a medical imaging apparatus. The table preparation unit is configured to prepare a table of a relationship between predetermined personal information concerning the medical image information and image information prepared by removing the predetermined personal information from the medical image information. The first storage unit is configured to store the predetermined personal information. The second storage unit is configured to store the image information. The first unit is configured to make the table unavailable. The second unit is configured to recapture the table.

  • Patent number: 6346940
Abstract: An image processing system displaying an endoscopic image of a three-dimensional object from a desired viewpoint position and view direction. A three-dimensional model preparation unit prepares a three-dimensional model of the object and an endoscopic image preparation unit prepares a first image of the three-dimensional model as viewed from the viewpoint position and view direction. A simulated endoscopic examination of a virtual subject can be realized by permitting an operator to change the viewpoint position and view direction to coincide with the movement of a virtual endoscope. The usefulness of the virtual endoscope is enhanced with various features of the invention which facilitate control over the virtual endoscope and make the virtual images useful in the insertion of a real endoscope.
