  • Patent number: 4477150
Abstract: An electric remote-controlled rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mirror pivotally supported by a three point pivot connection of which the center pivot connection is stationary to permit angular movement of the mirror therearound. The remaining two pivot connections are spaced a predetermined angle from each other about the center pivot connection and are connected to rod members which are individually actuatable for longitudinal movement by at least one electric reversible motor to thereby positively angularly adjust the mirror around the center pivot connection. The drive of the motor is transmitted to the rod members through nut members. The rod members is made of an elastic material with providing threads whereas the nut members is made of a rigid material with providing teeth to be meshed with the threads of the rod members.

  • Patent number: 4402194
Abstract: In a refrigerator of the domestic type where the tray of an ice making apparatus is turned down to permit ice pieces to be discharged therefrom, the present apparatus takes advantage of the characteristic of a synchronous motor incorporated therein. Namely, the direction of rotation of the synchronous motor is adapted to be periodically changed and no electrical change-over switching means is included in the apparatus. In accordance with the periodic conversion of the direction of rotation of the motor, the tray is adapted to be turned down and up, alternately. Furthermore, according to the present invention, whenever the ice making tray has been turned down or up, a twisting actuation is applied to the tray, thereby to make the ice pieces separate from the wall of the tray.

  • Patent number: 4398109
Abstract: An improved electric motor having an output shaft which moves in a reciprocating rectilinear motion and in which face contact between confronting axially transverse contact surfaces of stops on the output shaft and a driving member is prevented so as to eliminate the undesirable bite or cutting-in at limits of forward and backward movements of the output shaft.

The drive of the motor is transmitted to the rod members through nut members. Either one of the rod members and the nut members is made of an elastic material whereas the other of the rod members and the nut members is made of a rigid material. The use of pairs of pinch roller instead of the nut members is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4352036
Abstract: An improved electrical rotary machine which includes a stator having either one of a permanent magnet or pole teeth, a rotor having the other of the permanent magnet or pole teeth, a ring coil wound around a coil bobbin, a yoke which forms a magnetic circuit surrounding the ring coil together with the pole teeth, a bearing for supporting a rotor shaft of the rotor, a reduction mechanism further including gears engaging a gear secured to the rotor shaft, and a case for the reduction mechanism. The yoke is formed as one unit with the case for integral construction of the coil bobbin, bearing and case.

  • Patent number: 4214180
Abstract: A miniature electric motor including a shaft, at least one rotor coaxially mounted on the shaft and having a plurality of pole teeth angularly spaced from each other, at least one permanent magnet stator magnetized to provide north and south poles alternating at angular spacings corresponding to the angular spacings of the pole teeth, at least one annular exciting coil, and a yoke member made of magnetic material. The yoke member, exciting coil and stator are positioned relative to the rotor so that a magnetic flux developed by the exciting coil combines with the pole teeth of the rotor to form a magnetic loop. The motor further includes a motion translating mechanism located between the rotor and the shaft for converting the rotation of the rotor into a linear movement of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4100443
Abstract: An electrical rotary machine or motor having one rotor on which a plurality of stages of pole teeth corrresponding in number to the number of phases are formed, with magnetic flux being supplied thereto through individual annular exciting coils corresponding in number to the number of the phases for rendering the motor to operate in polyphases.

  • Patent number: 3936680
Abstract: A miniature self-starting electric motor includes a rotor shaft rotatably disposed in a casing. Two rotors fixed to said rotor shaft each have a circular body portion of soft magnetic material, said circular body portion having a periphery with pole teeth extending therefrom and spaced from each other at equal angular spacings. Two exciting coils each are disposed to face the pole teeth. Two magnets each provide radially north and south poles alternating at an equal angle with axially same polarities as the other magnet and facing the pole teeth, the number of poles on each permanent magnet being an even multiple of the number of pole teeth. The two rotors are in an opposite relation each other, the pole teeth of one of said two rotors being staggered from the pole teeth of the other by a predetermined electric angle. A condenser is selectively connectible to either one of said two exciting coils. Such miniature self-starting motor rotates reliably in a predetermined direction at the time of starting.
