  • Patent number: 7251055
Abstract: An image forming apparatus using an exposure unit of a solid-scanning type such as an LED head, reads out linear distortion correction data of an LED unit, then, calculates an amount of correcting color deviation based on the read-out data, and after that, carries out address control for color deviation correction memory. Based on this control, the apparatus creates a reference resist patterns, calculates an amount of correcting the color deviation, and writes the calculated amount in the color deviation correction memory. After that, the apparatus reads out the linear distortion correction data, and adds the amount of correcting the color deviation that is determined by sensors, and the amount of the color correction based on the linear distortion correction data, thereby carries out address controls for the color deviation correction memory.

  • Patent number: 7177039
Abstract: A sample hold circuit is disposed which, in accordance with a hold signal, can selectively execute either of outputting a threshold signal output from an Automatic Threshold Control circuit, to a comparator as a threshold signal while allowing the voltage to be as it is, or outputting the signal while holding the voltage. Immediately before reception of synchronizing data in which signals of “1” and “0” are alternatingly repeated is ended, the voltage of the threshold signal is held by a sample hold circuit. Therefore, when effective data is received after the synchronizing data, the voltage of the threshold signal is constant. The comparator compares the voltage of the input signal with the voltage of the threshold signal used as a reference. Based on a result of this comparison, a digital signal is reproduced from the input signal.

  • Patent number: 7133056
Abstract: It is intended to provide an image forming apparatus and image forming method capable of obtaining a comparatively high-quality image output even under a correction mode that gives preference to processing time required for correction, and capable of suppressing interruption of image formation to the utmost under operational condition such that internal temperature changes continuously. There are saved last five detections of positional shift quantity under first correction mode that gives preference to correction accuracy for each temperature band. Under second correction mode that gives preference to processing time required for correction, there is calculated a difference of a value actually obtained through measurement and an average value of data history belonging to a target temperature band (#7 through #9). Furthermore, the difference is multiplied by a reliability coefficient of main scanning direction and that of sub scanning direction, respectively, to determine correction quantity (#10, #11).

  • Patent number: 6700790
Abstract: In a circuit board comprising multiple layers and having an integrated circuit mounted on the outer layer thereof, a main power supply plane and a sub-power supply plane, which is disposed in an island fashion with a clearance that terminates electric connection with the main power supply plane, are formed on the same layer. The main power supply plane and the sub-power supply plane are connected by first power supply patterns that are formed on a layer different from the layer on which the power supply planes are formed and to which bypass condensers are connected. Power supply to some power supply terminals is achieved via second power supply patterns that are connected to the sub-power supply plane. The leakage of noise from the power supply terminals connected to the second power supply patterns is controlled by the first power supply patterns. Through this construction, the EMI noise radiated from the circuit board can be reduced while minimizing the number of bypass condensers.
