Abstract: A vehicle lamp including a reflector, which has a light source and is housed in a lamp chamber defined by a lamp body and a front lens, and a shade, which is attached at its first and second legs to the reflector so as to be in front of the light source. The first leg is fastened to the reflector by a screw; and the second leg is connected to the reflector by an engaging piece of substantially an L-shape that is formed at an end of the second leg and is engaged with an engaging hole formed in the reflector. The engaging piece extends from shoulder portions of the second leg, and the length between the shoulder portions to a head portion at the tip end of the engaging piece is set to be substantially equal to the longitudinal length of the engaging hole of the reflector.

Abstract: A chair has a chair body and armrests installed on the sides of the chair body. The armrests include arm supports and arm mounts, with the arm supports being attached to the sides of the chair body and the arm mounts being supported by the arm supports. Linking elements, or other suitable elements, are provided between the chair body and the arm supports or in part of the armrest for controlling at least the arm mounts so that they can move in a substantially regular path around a person in the chair, between a first use position, wherein the length direction of the arm mounts is nearly in the longitudinal direction of the chair body; and a second use position wherein the length direction of the arm mounts is nearly in the lateral direction of the chair body.

Abstract: The invention provides an information exchange method allowing for the following: when watching a TV program or the like, a plurality of terminal users in remote locations exchange information, simultaneously watching a visual object displayed on the TV receiver screen, wherein visual information and messages such as chat are linked up. Assuming that two or more terminal devices connect to a computer network and information about content of interest rendered by media is communicated over the network, information to identify the content, target area selected to define a part or all of an object from the content, and messages are sent and received between or across two or more terminals via the computer network.

Abstract: Because the conventional search service with the WWW search engine assumes keyword input by end users, it is impossible for users to request a search by specifying visual information rendered by TV broadcast or from other sources as a search key or, in reverse, issue a search request for a scene of a TV program by specifying a keyword. The disclosed invention provides an information linking method, terminal devices and a server equipment operating, based on this method, a computer program of the method, and a method of charging for services feasible by the method. This method makes the following possible: linking visual information distributed by TV broadcast or over a computer network with text information such as keywords; and searching WWW sites/pages with a search key of visual information such as an visual object on a image from a TV program or, in reverse, searching for a scene of a TV program from a keyword.

Abstract: In an information system wherein an information registering equipment, an information viewing equipment, and an information search equipment are interconnected by a computer network, a method of linking an object selected from content of interest rendered by media with its reference information and keyword information is disclosed. The information registering equipment transmits content/object identifying information to identify the area defined for the object selected from the content of interest, its reference information or a link to the reference information, and its keyword information to the information search equipment over the computer network. The information viewing information transmits the content/object identifying information and/or its keyword information to the information search equipment over the computer network.

Abstract: To ensure seamless reproduction of video data and audio data even when the video data and audio data are edited video object unit by video object unit in multiplexing of the video data and audio data, a playback time of the video data is compared with that of the audio data and packets are multiplexed in such a way that a video packet and an audio packet to be reproduced within a given timing range are included in the same video object unit.

Abstract: On an information registering equipment, content of interest rendered by media, such as a video image of interest distributed by TV broadcasting is captured and displayed. Position/area on the image are defined with a mouse or the like to obtain the target position/area. Information to identify the content is obtained from the TV tuner. Reference information is obtained by inputting through input means or by retrieval from the server for reference information. The thus obtained information specifics are transmitted to an information search equipment that in turn stores then into its database. An information viewing equipment obtains the target position/area and information to identify the content of interest and transmits the thus obtained data to the information search equipment. The information search equipment matches that data with each data record in the database and transmits reference information to the information viewing equipment on which the reference information is displayed.

A bulb mounting hole and a vent are formed on the peripheral walls so that the entire area of the effective reflecting surface can be utilized as a reflecting surface, thereby improving the reflection efficiency of light and the outward appearance of the lamp, while allowing the lamp to be constructed with a slim body.
