  • Patent number: 7841670
Abstract: The degree of freedom in design is increased while maintaining strength by enabling a decorative member to be disposed without thinning a wheel main body. A wheel is made up of a wheel main body 1 which is made up of a rim portion 10 and a disc portion 11 and which has a vent hole 141 in the disc portion 11 and a decorative member 2 made from a resin which is held in at least the disc portion 11 and is observed from the vent hole 141. Since the decorative member 2 is observed in the vent hole 141, the wheel main body 1 including spoke portions 14 does not have to be thinned. In addition, since the design of the decorative member is observed in cooperation with the design of the disc portion 11, the degree of freedom in design is increased.

  • Patent number: 6772484
Abstract: A high-strength mounting structure is used for attaching a resin article to a body panel. The resin molded article has an elongated main body and a pair of mount ribs formed in several spots intermittently in a longitudinal direction. A protrusion is provided at a distal end of each of the mount ribs. A clip has latch claws for engaging the protrusions of the mount ribs, and a slip-proof lug is located opposite to each latch claw to resist release the latch claws from the protrusions. In addition, the clip has an engagement section engaged with a body panel at a side facing the body panel.

  • Patent number: 6576699
Abstract: A damping resin composition contains: 100 parts by weight of a polymer blend of 40 to 70% by weight of a polypropylene resin and 30 to 60% by weight of a thermoplastic elastomer; and 5 to 60 parts by weight of an inorganic filler, the thermoplastic elastomer comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of an elastomer having a Tg of 0° C. to 20° C. and an elastomer having a Tg of −20° C. to 0° C. and an ethylene-&agr;-olefin copolymer. Using this damping resin compostion, a vehicle rocker-panel molding, which is attached to the lower part of a vehicle side body is molded.

  • Patent number: 6068896
Abstract: An injection molded colored article produced from colored material prepared by blending a coloring pigment with a synthetic resin. The article has the shape of a long main body section and a thin plate section integrally molded along a side edge of the main body section. A back surface of the main body has a curve formed from an inner end thereof. The thin plate section is formed into a tapered shape, having its thickness decreased toward its outer edge. An inclined angle .theta. defined between a upper surface and a back surface of said thin plate section, a ratio of distance A between an inner edge of said upper surface and an outer edge of said thin plate section to a distance B between said inner end of said back surface of said thin plate section and said outer edge, A/B, and a thickness C of said main body section are selected to fall within the following ranges;5.ltoreq..theta..ltoreq.45.degree.;0.3.ltoreq.A/B.ltoreq.1; and1.5.ltoreq.C.ltoreq.10 mm.
