  • Publication number: 20100197276
Abstract: A telephone directory registration method in a mobile phone is provided which is capable of preventing damage caused by nuisance mails and of supporting the individual content of registration that differs for each different for each different model of a mobile phone. It is determined whether or not an electronic mail received from another mobile phone is electronic mail that is to be registered in a telephone directory. If so, it is determined whether or not the originating address of the electronic mail is an address which is permitted to be registered in a telephone directory. If so, the content of said electronic mail to be registered is registered in the telephone directory of the mobile phone, provided that the content of the electronic mail is in accordance with a telephone directory registration format.

  • Patent number: 7596192
Abstract: A signal transmitted from a base station is received by a receiver. The received signal is supplied to an AGC amplifier and is then supplied to a demodulator, so that the signal is demodulated into baseband signals. The baseband signals are supplied to a baseband signal processor. The baseband signals are also processed through an instantaneous received power calculator, an average received power calculator, and a feedback AGC code generator to produce an AGC signal. The gain of the AGC amplifier is controlled based on the AGC signal. A fading pitch measuring device measures a fading pitch from the instantaneous power calculated by the instantaneous received power calculator. The average received power calculator changes averaging time required to calculate average received power depending on the measured fading pitch.

  • Patent number: 7460879
Abstract: A method of performing transmit power control is performed based on ISCP which a mobile terminal calculates from a downlink received signal. A transmission/reception unit of the mobile terminal transmits and receives a radio signal to/from a radio base station through an antenna. A transmission/reception control unit performs control relating to the signal processing in the transmission/reception unit. A control unit Performs control concerning operation of each unit of the mobile terminal. A measurement unit measures ISCP and DPCH power from the signal received in the transceiver unit, and transmits the measured values to the control unit. A characteristic value conversion unit prepares a relation between the ISCP which satisfies a preset target BLER and the measured DPCH power, based on BLERs previously measured in a communication environment where the mobile terminal is located.

  • Publication number: 20060084437
Abstract: When the calling out of a mobile communication terminal connected to a base station by a RL causes a control unit in the terminal to start a call connection sequence, and the electric field level measurement of a base station pilot signal after transition to a CELL_DCH state causes a handover event to occur, the control unit compares the electric field level for pilot signal reception of the currently connected base station with a prescribed threshold, and, as a result of the comparison, if the electric field level of the currently connected base station is equal to or less than the threshold, the call connection sequence is interrupted to perform the handover operation, and the call connection sequence is resumed after the handover operation is completed. Conversely, if the electric field level of the currently connected RL is greater than the threshold, the call connection sequence is continued without performing the handover operation.
