  • Publication number: 20120265919
Abstract: In the case of mounting two serial communication interfaces such as PCI-e and USB 3.0 with standards different from each other, it is allowed to flexibly address a design change and the like, and reduce a board area. An interface device is provided with a PCI-e PHY I/F, a USB 3.0 PHY I/F with equivalent specifications of a PIPE I/F to that of the PCI-e PHY I/F, and a system controller for controlling the PCI-e PHY I/F and the USB 3.0 PHY I/F. The interface device includes a PIPE I/F bridge in which the PCI-e PHY I/F and the USB 3.0 PHY I/F are provided, and the PIPE I/F bridge selectively switches connection of the PCI-e PHY I/F or the USB 3.0 PHY I/F with the system controller.

An interface device includes a PCI-e I/F, a USB 3.0 I/F with characteristic impedance and an electric characteristic which are equivalent to those of the PCI-e I/F, and a controller provided with the PCI-e I/F and the USB 3.0 I/F. The interface device is provided with a PHY bus switch for selectively switching between the PCI-e I/F and the USB 3.0 I/F, and in which wiring for connecting the PCI-e I/F and the PHY bus switch and wiring for connecting the USB 3.0 I/F and the PHY bus switch are shared therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20120135679
Abstract: An electronic equipment system is constructed by connecting a USB 3.0 socket 13 of electronic equipment 1 to a USB 3.0 plug 23 of a connecting device 2. The connecting device 2 includes no antenna and the electronic equipment 1 includes an antenna 12. The electronic equipment 1 and the connecting device 2 perform data input/output in accordance with the USB 2.0 communication protocol, and data is sent/received by the antenna 12 through second signal lines 15 and fourth signal lines 25 not used for the USB 2.0. Since there is no need to provide an antenna in the connecting device 2, the connecting device 2 may be further downsized.

  • Patent number: 7668473
Abstract: There are provided a fixing device and an image forming apparatus capable of reducing a sensing error of a surface temperature of a heating roller. The fixing device includes a temperature sensor for sensing the surface temperature of the heating roller, and a temperature calculation circuit. The temperature calculation circuit includes a noise removal prevention circuit. The temperature sensor includes an infrared ray sensing thermistor and a compensation thermistor, and the noise removal prevention circuit prevents removal of a part of an AC component (such as a high frequency component in a noise) included in a difference between outputs (difference output) of the infrared ray sensing thermistor and the compensation thermistor. Thus, the AC component is prevented from being offset when the difference outputs are averaged, thus reducing the sensing error of the surface temperature of the heating roller based on the average value of the difference outputs.
