  • Patent number: 11916412
Abstract: An electric vehicle includes an electric motor, an inverter, a battery, a first switch, an electric power converter circuit, and a second switch. The inverter is configured to drive the electric motor. The battery is configured to supply electric power to the inverter. The first switch is normally open, and configured to open and close an electric power line provided between the battery and the inverter. The second switch is normally closed, and coupled between an electric power line of the electric motor and the electric power converter circuit. The electric power converter circuit is configured to, in a case where the electric power converter circuit receives a back electromotive voltage from the electric motor via the second switch, generate a voltage that drives the first switch to be in a close state, on the basis of the back electromotive voltage.

  • Publication number: 20230391197
Abstract: An electric vehicle diagnostic apparatus to be installed in an electric vehicle including a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of a drive motor or a temperature of an inverter configured to drive the drive motor includes a controller. The controller is configured to make a diagnosis of the temperature sensor. The controller is configured to perform mask processing in which the diagnosis is not made at system startup of the electric vehicle. The controller is configured to switch a length of time of the mask processing in accordance with a condition.

  • Publication number: 20230278568
Abstract: A sensor diagnostic device for use in a vehicle including a first temperature sensor and a second temperature sensor includes a control system. The control system includes a processor and a memory communicably coupled to each other. The control system determines a sensor abnormality based on a detected temperature difference between a first detected temperature detected by the first temperature sensor and a second detected temperature detected by the second temperature sensor. After the vehicle is stopped, the control system calculates a decrease speed of the first detected temperature based on the first detected temperature, and calculate a decrease speed of the second detected temperature based on the second detected temperature, and if an absolute value of a decrease speed difference between the first and second detected temperatures is smaller than a threshold, determines whether the sensor abnormality has occurred, based on the detected temperature difference.

  • Patent number: 11518274
Abstract: A battery cooling system includes a cooling fan that takes in inside air of a vehicle cabin to an intake passage and sends the air to a battery communicating with the vehicle cabin through the intake passage, a battery temperature sensor that detects a temperature of the battery, an intake air temperature sensor that is disposed in the intake passage and detects a temperature of the air flowing through the intake passage, and a controller. The controller controls the cooling fan based on the detected temperatures. The controller performs a temperature check operation. Firstly, when the difference value between the detected temperatures is larger than zero, the controller repeats the temperature check operation. Afterward, When the difference value in the latest temperature check operation is smaller than the difference value in the previous temperature check operation and larger than zero, the controller repeats the temperature check operation.

  • Patent number: 5493763
Abstract: A lathe capable of performing both usual machining and balance correction machining of a workpiece. In a combined machining lathe having a drilling and/or milling machine, vibration sensor(s) are attached to a headstock and/or a tailstock and a sensor for detecting a rotation angle of a main spindle is provided. After the usual machining, the workpiece is rotated at a predetermined rotating speed on the same lathe and an amount of imbalance and phase are calculated by a imbalance arithmetic unit. An NC machining program for balancing the workpiece is automatically produced by a balance correction machining program producer within a numerical controller and balance correction machining of the workpiece is carried out using a rotary tool such as a drill or the like.
