  • Publication number: 20140147362
Abstract: A gas purification method is disclosed for a coal gasifier plant, with which energy loss accompanying recovery of CO2 can be suppressed and soundness of a CO shift catalyst can be maintained in the plant. The method includes a scrubbing step for a product gas produced by gasification of a carbon-containing solid fuel and containing at least CO and H2S to remove water-soluble substances contained in the product gas; a CO shift step to react CO in the product gas after scrubbing with steam using a shift catalyst and converting the gas into CO2 and H2; and a CO2/H2S recovery to remove CO2 and H2S from the product gas after the CO shift step, wherein the CO shift step is constituted by a multistage shift reactor which includes multiple stages of shift reactors, and shift reactors upstream and downstream have high- and low-temperature shift catalysts, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20140008913
Abstract: A method is provided for reducing an amount of steam to be introduced from the outside for a shift reaction in a coal gasification system. A coal gasification method for gasifying a fuel containing carbon, includes the steps of gasifying the fuel containing carbon by reacting the fuel with a gas containing oxygen; cooling a gas produced in the step of gasifying the fuel by spraying water into the produced gas; removing solid particles contained in the cooled produced gas; decomposing ammonia contained in the produced gas into N2 and H2 by bringing the produced gas, from which the solid particles have been removed, into contact with an ammonia decomposition catalyst; and converting a part of CO contained in the produced gas into CO2 and H2 by bringing the produced gas into contact with a shift catalyst.

  • Publication number: 20130255153
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of gas purification, a coal gasification plant, and a shift catalyst, each of which enables an inexpensive treatment of condensed water derived from steam used in a CO shift reaction. A CO shift reaction is performed using a shift catalyst less causing side reactions (e.g., a P—Mo—Ni-supported shift catalyst), and condensed water derived from steam used in the CO shift reaction is reused or treated. The method includes a cleaning step of removing water-soluble substances from a gasified gas containing CO and H2S; a CO shift step of allowing CO in a gas after the cleaning step to react with steam by the catalysis of the shift catalyst to convert CO into CO2 and H2; and a recovery step of removing CO2 and H2S from a gas after the CO shift step, in which post-shift condensed water formed after the CO shift step is recycled.

  • Patent number: 8002976
Abstract: A magnetic separation filtering and cleaning apparatus for adding flocculant and magnetic powder to raw water containing pollutant particles to form magnetic floc in treated fluid and separating and removing the magnetic floc from the treated fluid, comprising: a magnetic field generation device being provided in a rotating body for suctioning the magnetic floc on a surface of the rotating body from the treated fluid containing the magnetic floc, a magnetic field rotating device for rotating the magnetic field generation device, a sludge recovery device for separating sludge including the magnetic floc mechanically from the surface of the rotating body of the magnetic field generation device; and a filtering device having a rotating net for filtering out the magnetic floc from the treated fluid including the magnetic floc and flowing down the treated fluid filtered through the rotating net.

  • Publication number: 20100101416
Abstract: A method and a device for removing acidic materials, such as CO2 and H2S, with limited energy consumption are provided. The method comprises a step of introducing the feed gas into a first absorber, and removing CO2 and H2S from the feed gas by contacting the feed gas with a lean solution in the first absorber; and a step of introducing the feed gas into a second absorber, and removing CO2 and H2S remaining in the feed gas by contacting the feed gas with a semi-lean solution in the second absorber. The rich solution having absorbed CO2 and H2S in the first and second absorber is introduced into a flash drum where an internal pressure is kept lower than that in the first absorber and in the second absorber. After a part of CO2 and H2S is released from the rich solution in the flash drum to obtain a semi-lean solution, a part of the semi-lean solution is cooled and introduced into the second absorber to contact with the feed gas in the second absorber.
