Abstract: A thrombin mutant in which at least serine at position 205 among amino acids in the active center of the thrombin B chain has been replaced with another amino acid, and further at least one of the following replacements have been introduced: (I) replacement of arginine at position 89 in the B-chain with another amino acid; (II) replacement of threonine at position 69 or serine at position 22 in the B-chain with another amino acid; (III) replacement of alanine at position 200 in the B-chain with another amino acid; and (IV) replacement of lysine at position 65 in the B-chain with threonine.

Abstract: <Problems> The present invention provides a detection method of estrogen-like chemicals, which uses a plant, needs not use a complicated procedure as sterilization and is highly sensitive as a sensor. <Means for Solving the Problems> The present invention is a transformed plant, which is transformed by transducing effector 1 sequence, effector 2 sequence, a target DNA and a reporter gene, wherein said effector 1 sequence has a promoter, a nuclear localization signal, and a chimeric gene comprising a domain coding a polypeptide binding to a target DNA and a domain coding a ligand binding polypeptide of intranuclear receptors for estrogen-like chemicals, said effector 2 sequence has a promoter, a nuclear localization signal, and a chimeric gene comprising a domain coding an interacting domain with intranuclear receptors in a transcriptional coactivator and a domain coding a transcriptional activation domain, and said reporter gene locates in the down stream of said target DNA.

Abstract: A gas sensor including: an insulating substrate; a pair of thin film electrodes provided on the insulating substrate in such a manner as to leave a fixed space between them; a gas sensitive film including a metallic oxide which is provided in such a manner as to substantially fill at least the fixed space left between the electrodes; and a catalytically active protective layer formed in such a manner as to cover the surface of the metallic oxide exposed to the outside.
