After a series of welding operations are completed, pressurized air mixed with a small amount of oil is injected through a passage defined between a member supplying a welding electrode and a gas nozzle. This oil emitted adheres to the surface of the electrode supply member and the gas nozzle, thereby generating an oil film thereon.
