  • Publication number: 20050097881
Abstract: A plate-fin type regenerative heat exchanger is provided which can prevent clogging of a flow passage caused by a drift of liquid phase water even when compressed air contains a large amount of moisture and liquid droplets. The plate-fin type regenerative heat exchanger comprises a corrugated fin channel for heating compressed air containing liquid droplets and a corrugated fin channel to which the compressed air containing no liquid droplets is supplied. A pitch of fin members of the former corrugated fin channel is set to the Laplace length, whereby bridging of the liquid droplets between the fin members can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20050076502
Abstract: The invention provides a production process of a gas turbine capable of being applied to various cycles. A principal part of a gas turbine is set in advance based on roughly set conditions, and the number of stages of a compressor and the number of stages of a turbine, which can provide conditions suitable for a desired cycle, are set based on the set principal part. The compressor and the turbine each having the set number of stages and included in the principal part are combined with each other to construct the gas turbine. When the set number of stages of the compressor or the turbine differs among a plurality of desired cycles, a substantially disk-shaped member having an outer periphery, which forms an inner peripheral wall of a substantially annular flow passage of the compressor or the turbine, is assembled into the cycle having a smaller number of stages so that the bearing-to-bearing distance is kept constant in the gas turbine operated in the plurality of desired cycles.

  • Patent number: 6871503
Abstract: The purpose is to improve the mixture ratio of a pre-mixer by a simple arrangement to form a more uniform premixed gases so as to materialize low NOx combustion. Two fuel nozzles disposed circumferentially of a pre-mixer are combined with a single air intake window to make a set, which set is used to produce swirls in a pair, thereby expediting mixing. Further, the inlet window is shaped such that its circumferential width is changed axially of the combustor, thereby changing the strength and size of the swirls to achieve the greatest effect. By reducing both the pre-mixer inlet windows and the partition walls in number, the manufacturing cost can be reduced, and by strengthening and optimizing the swirls, a combustor with superior low NOx performance can be provided, while it is possible to reduce the length of the pre-mixer necessary to obtain the same mixture ratio, leading to a cost reduction.

  • Patent number: 6865893
Abstract: A production process of a gas turbine capable of being applied to various cycles. A principal part of a gas turbine is initially set based on roughly set conditions, and the number of stages of the compressor and of the turbine for a desired cycle are set for the principal part. The compressor and the turbine each having the set number of stages and included in the principal part are combined to construct the gas turbine. When the set number of stages of the compressor or the turbine differs for a different desired cycle, a disk-shaped member having an outer periphery, which forms an inner peripheral wall of the annular flow passage of the compressor or the turbine, is assembled into the principal part having a smaller number of stages so that the bearing-to-bearing distance is kept constant.

  • Publication number: 20040112039
Abstract: The invention provides a gas turbine combustor in which the size of a combustor outer casing can be reduced. A transition inner duct and a transition outer duct are disposed in a main housing, inlet openings for a fluid to cool the transition inner duct are formed at ends of the transition outer duct on both sides nearer to the combustor liner and the turbine, and the transition outer duct is formed as an extraction flow passage for extracting the cooling fluid having flown in through the inlet openings to a recuperator. A partition member is also provided to prevent the fluid in the main housing and the fluid in the combustor outer casing from mixing with each other.
