  • Patent number: 11245813
Abstract: A document management support apparatus includes a processor. The processor acquires attribute information regarding a person who actually scans a paper document on behalf of a person who is to scan the paper document. The person who is to scan the paper document is a first person. The person who actually scans the paper document is a second person. The processor extracts at least one candidate for the first person from multiple candidates for the first person who each have attribute information. The at least one candidate has attribute information in a predetermined relationship with the acquired attribute information regarding the second person.

  • Patent number: 8627318
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a first processing section that, in an environment where a first operating system is running, executes a process for a first application program, and performs a generation process for generating identification information for identifying the process for the first application program; and a second processing section that, in an environment where a second operating system is running, executes a process for a second application program, and when the process for the second application program is instructed to be executed, performs an identification information acquisition process for acquiring identification information newly generated through the generation process of the first processing section as identification information for identifying the process for the second application program.

  • Publication number: 20110321046
Abstract: A process information management apparatus includes a first processor, a management unit, a second processor, a generator, and a third processor. The first processor executes a first process based on a first application program in an environment where a first system is operating. The management unit manages information regarding a process executed in an environment where a second system is operating, based on a second application program in the environment. The second processor executes a second process based on the second application program in the environment. The generator generates, when the first process is executed, an execution instruction for a third process corresponding to the first process to regard the first process is executed in the environment, and, when the first process is completed, generates a completion instruction for the third process. Based on the second application program in the environment, the third processor executes and completes the third process.

  • Publication number: 20110283087
Abstract: A first processing unit is implemented by executing a first application program by using an internal computer in an environment where a first operating system is operating. The first processing unit performs a first process or an external service call in accordance with instruction information describing a process to be executed. A second processing unit is implemented by executing a second application program by using the internal computer or an additional computer connected to the internal computer in an environment where a second operating system is operating. The second processing unit performs a second process when instructed by an external service call to execute the second process. When the instruction information includes information specifying the second process as the process to be executed, a transfer unit updates the information included in the instruction information, and transfers the updated instruction information to the first processing unit.

  • Patent number: 7230733
Abstract: A communication control method of an Internet facsimile may provide transmitting and receiving document information via the Internet and transmitting and receiving facsimile image information via a public switched telephone network. The method may include receiving a relay result returned from a relay broadcast distribution station in the form of an electronic mail if a transmission error occurs in transmitting information from the Internet facsimile to a destination via the Internet. Based on the received relay result, a communication management report may be prepared that indicates the occurrence of the error if the error occurs. An image corresponding to the information may be attached to the report. The report may be output in the form of an electronic mail. An Internet facsimile may include a communication section, a communication management report preparation section, an image attaching section, and a communication management report output section, which carry out such a method.
