  • Publication number: 20050264996
Abstract: A pump has a pump casing and an impeller. The pump casing has a pump chamber, an inlet path through which a liquid is guided to the pump chamber and an outlet path through which the liquid is discharged from the pump chamber. The impeller is housed in the pump chamber. With the rotation of the impeller, the liquid is sucked through the inlet path into the pump chamber and pushed out of the pump chamber into the outlet path. The outlet path has a first opening end which is opened in the pump chamber, and a second opening end located downstream of the first opening end. The first opening end has an opening area larger than that of the second opening end.

  • Publication number: 20050082035
Abstract: One surface of a base section having an open portion forming an inlet port of a fluid is thermally connected to a target module to be cooled. Pluralities of fins arranged in parallel are mounted on the other surface of a base section in a direction substantially perpendicular to the base section. A fan is arranged to permit the fluid to flow through the clearance between the adjacent fins. A wall section open to the inlet port of the fluid is mounted on the base section. A part of the wall section constitutes a detachable lid section. A partition plate having through-holes formed therein is arranged between the base section and the lid section so as to divide the space between the base section and the lid section into two fluid flowing channels consisting of a main flowing channel and an auxiliary flowing channel.

  • Patent number: 6845011
Abstract: An electronic apparatus includes a first housing and a second housing. The first housing incorporates a pump. The second housing incorporates a heat-radiating portion. The pump has a heat-receiving portion. A circulation path for circulating liquid coolant connects the pump and the heat-radiating portion. The circulation path has two pipes. The first pipe connects the pump to the coolant inlet port of the heat-radiating portion. The second pipe connects the pump to the coolant outlet port of the heat-radiating portion. The first and second pipes extend from two adjacent points on the pump, toward a midpoint between the coolant inlet port and coolant outlet port.

  • Publication number: 20040161642
Abstract: An electronic equipment is provided with a fluid device using fluid including an additive, a main body comprising an installation site for installation of the fluid device and a detection part reserving the fluid. The detection part makes the fluid visible by means of the additive or is provided with a detection substance changing its nature when contacting the fluid, thereby leakage of the fluid is detected. The detection part may be further provided with electrodes to measure an electric property change therebetween. The detection part is disposed on either the installation site or the fluid device.

  • Publication number: 20040008487
Abstract: A cooling device is applied to cooling an electronic element producing concentrated heat in a case where the electronic element is housed in a portable electronic device such as a notebook PC. The cooling device is provided with an active heat transport element provided with a heat intake portion and a heat outlet portion, which conducts heat from the heat intake portion to the heat outlet portion, a first flow channel disposed upstream of the electronic element in flow of the cooling medium, a second flow channel disposed downstream of the electronic element in the flow of the cooling medium. The heat is by-passed by means of the active heat transport element so that the electronic element is exposed to flow of the cooled cooling medium and effectively cooled thereby.
