  • Patent number: 7946482
Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic money paying-in system that can easily update information used for an electronic money paying-in process. As the present invention is provided with an electronic money management server for acquiring a paying-in amount that has been input to an electronic money charger and also sending a paying-in processing command for adding the paying-in amount to an electronic money balance on an IC card to the IC card via the electronic money charger, it needs to store information used for processing of depositing electronic money like the paying-in processing command only in the electronic money management server and it can easily update the information used for an electronic money paying-in process just by performing maintenance on the server. Therefore, as the information used for an electronic money paying-in process can be easily updated, maintenance operation can be easily performed on the electronic money charger.

  • Publication number: 20090026256
Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic money reader/writer that can perform output processing by an information outputting unit even if a settlement processing unit malfunctions, for example, and output multiple kinds of output information requiring advanced output processing based on the operation of a settlement control unit. The reader/writer comprises an output control unit 170 for controlling to output the output information 132 from an information outputting unit 140 based on respective commands received from a settlement control unit 160. This configuration allows for performing the output processing of the information outputting unit 140 only by the output control unit 170. Moreover, since not load of the settlement processing is applied to the output control unit 170, the unit 170 can output information such as a moving image or music.

  • Publication number: 20080116263
Abstract: The present invention provides a reader/writer for an automatic vending machine capable of easily outputting payment processing information on electronic money even when a main control section of the automatic vending machine operates abnormally. The reader/writer is provided with a detection section that detects an operating condition of a main control section, a switching section that switches, when the detection section detects a predetermined abnormal operation, the connection with the main control section to a connection with a payment information output section provided for the automatic vending machine, and an RW control section that performs control such that payment processing on electronic money is carried out by reading/writing an electronic money balance stored in a contactless IC card based on a signal received from the main control section and when the connection is switched by the switching section, electronic money payment information is outputted from a payment information output section.

  • Publication number: 20070138266
Abstract: A pair of engagement members to be detachably engaged with a bill recognition device is provided on a unit body of a reader-writer unit, and the bill recognition device is attached to the unit body by engagement with the engagement members. Therefore, the bill recognition device can be attached/detached without using any screws. For example, when the bill recognition device is replaced, operations for detaching and attaching the bill recognition device can be performed advantageously easily. In the replacement process, the bill recognition device can be attached or detached while the unit body is in the state of being mounted on an outer door. Thus, the drawback of the unit body being dismounted from the outer door when the screws are removed as in the conventional art is eliminated and the attachment/detachment operations are not complicated.
