Patent number: 9718439Abstract: When disassembling after a gas being supplied into a tube member, the gas in the tube member is discharged before the tube member and a moving member become separable. In a webbing take-up device, a cover plate cannot be removed from a frame and thereafter a cylinder and a piston inside the cylinder cannot be separated before covering of a fixing screw with a covering section of a plate being released by removing a screw from an exhaust port of the cylinder and by removing the plate from the cylinder. Thus, after a high-pressure gas being supplied into the cylinder, the high-pressure gas inside the cylinder can surely be discharged by removing the plate from the cylinder and the exhaust port is opened by the screw before the cylinder and the piston being separated.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2011Date of Patent: August 1, 2017Assignee: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOKAI-RIKA-DENKI-SEISAKUSHOInventors: Tomonori Nagata, Hiroaki Yamazoe, Shinichi Okubo, Keiichi Kato

Patent number: 8657223Abstract: A webbing take-up device that can regulate displacement of a held part such as clutch while suppressing or preventing a drop in the assembility of the held part such as clutch. A projection is formed on a bridge portion in a wall portion on the opposite side of a holding portion side. When a cover plate is attached to a frame, a base portion of the cover plate contacts a distal end of the wall portion, but at the portion where the projection is formed, the based portion presses the projection and bends the bridge portion. By the bridge portion bending, a touching surface of the holding portion contacts a base portion of a clutch plate and regulates displacement of the clutch plate. Moreover, in a state where the bridge portion is not bending, a clearance is formed between the touching surface and the base portion when the clutch plate is disposed, so the clutch plate can be also be easily attached.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2010Date of Patent: February 25, 2014Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Yusuke Hirokawa, Tomonori Nagata

Patent number: 8196962Abstract: In the present pretensioner, press contact portions are formed further to a side of an open end of a packing housing section than central portions of opposing faces along a depth direction of the packing housing section. Accordingly, when a packing is being fitted into the packing housing section, no great resistance is imparted to a curved face side of the packing from a press contact wall of a housing section body and the opposing face, and the packing is fitted comparatively smoothly therein. Consequently, even when fitting the packing into the packing housing section, a packing main body is largely resilient-deformed, such that a large collapse in a through hole can be prevented, and the sealing ability of the seal due to deformation of the packing main body can be effectively enhanced.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2010Date of Patent: June 12, 2012Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Motoki Sugiyama, Seiji Hori, Tomonori Nagata, Tetsushi Muromachi, Masaru Ukita, Katsuki Asagiri, Tomohiro Okuhira, Naoki Urakawa

Patent number: 7758074Abstract: A webbing retractor is provided that reduces the amount of webbing that is pulled-out after operation of a pretensioner mechanism. In a webbing retractor 10, a lock pawl 78 is set in a non-meshable state in which it cannot mesh with a lock gear 26. At a time when a pretensioner mechanism 34 operates and a clutch plate 42 rotates in a take-up direction, a lock stopper 86 rotates together with the clutch plate 42 and releases engagement with the lock pawl 78. Therefore, the lock pawl 78 is rotated by a compression coil spring 70 and changed to a meshable state. In this way, immediately after rotational force in a pull-out direction is applied to the lock gear 26 due to load from a vehicle occupant after operation of the pretensioner mechanism 34, the lock pawl 78 meshes with the lock gear 26, and pulling-out of a webbing 20 is impeded. Therefore, an amount of the webbing 20 which is pulled-out can be reduced.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2005Date of Patent: July 20, 2010Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Hitoshi Takamatsu, Tomonori Nagata, Kazuhiko Aihara, Masaki Yasuda, Toshio Nakashima

Patent number: 7717367Abstract: In a pretensioner device, engaging teeth of a pinion (rotating body) have first projections which project-out toward the other side in the peripheral direction of a cam portion. Meshing claws of a clutch plate have second projections which project-out toward a one side in the peripheral direction of the cam portion, and whose gear portion side end surfaces face the first projections. In a state before operation of the pretensioner device, movement of the clutch plate toward one side in the axial direction with respect to the pinion is restricted due to the second projections engaging with the first projections. Accordingly, in the pretensioner device, in the state before operation, even if some type of external force is applied to the clutch plate, positional offset of the clutch plate toward the one side in the axial direction with respect to the pinion can be prevented.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2006Date of Patent: May 18, 2010Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Yasuho Kitazawa, Hitoshi Takamatsu, Masaki Yasuda, Kazuhiko Aihara, Toshio Nakashima, Tomonori Nagata

Patent number: 7624940Abstract: A webbing retractor which can prevent gas, which is for rotating a take-up shaft in a take-up direction, from affecting other structural parts. In the webbing retractor, when a pretensioner mechanism operates, gas for operation within a cylinder is exhausted toward a pinion via a gas venting hole formed in a flange portion of a piston. Because a blocking wall is provided between the pinion and an acceleration sensor, exhausted gas passes between the pinion and the blocking wall, and is exhausted to an outer side of the webbing retractor from an upper end side of a cover plate or the like. In this way, blowing-out of the exhausted gas onto the acceleration sensor is blocked, and the exhausted gas can be prevented from affecting the acceleration sensor.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2006Date of Patent: December 1, 2009Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Yasuho Kitazawa, Tomonori Nagata, Hitoshi Takamatsu, Masaki Yasuda, Toshio Nakashima, Kazuhiko Aihara

Publication number: 20080203210Abstract: To simplify the structure of a webbing retractor, at a second locking mechanism 44 of the webbing retractor, when a gas generator is not operated, a cam engages with an outer peripheral groove of a lock ring, and a limit load by a torsion shaft is made to be a high load. On the other hand, when the gas generator is operated, the cam is moved apart from the outer peripheral groove of the lock ring, and the limit load by the torsion shaft is made to be a low load. Because only the cam is interposed between the lock ring and a piston which is driven by the gas generator, the number of parts of the second locking mechanism can be reduced, and the structure of the second locking mechanism can be made simple.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2008Publication date: August 28, 2008Applicant: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOKAI-RIKA-DENKI-SEISAKUSHOInventors: Tomonori NAGATA, Motoki SUGIYAMA, Yoshiaki MAEKUBO, Sayuri AOKI
