Patent number: 7543311Abstract: A pair of guide shafts 230 supporting an information processing section 240 equipped with a pickup 242 is provided on a mount 210 rotatably disposed in a casing 110 with a turn table for rotatably supporting the optical disc 10 being provided on the rotation end side. An electric moving motor 310 is integrally attached on the bottom side of the casing 110 by an attachment 330 with a lead screw 320 having a spiral engaging groove 321, to which a movement restricting claw 241B of the information processing section 240 is engaged, being coupled coaxially to an output shaft. The configuration moving the information processing section 240 will not contact to the casing 110 when the turn table 222 is rotated to a retracted position retracted from the moving path of the optical disc 10 at the insertion or ejection of the optical disc 10, thus preferably being downsized.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2005Date of Patent: June 2, 2009Assignee: Pioneer CorporationInventor: Tomonori Nakada

Publication number: 20090125929Abstract: A sensor 15 for detecting rotation speed of an optical disc is arranged on a sub-frame 5 so as to be positioned in the vicinity of a spindle motor 7. The sensor 15 has been arranged on a main frame 3 in a LightScribe-compatible optical disc apparatus of the conventional art, but is arranged on the sub-frame 5 in the present embodiment. With this arrangement, the sub-frame 5 near the sensor 15 can be increased in size. Specifically, the space occupied by the sensor 15 near the spindle motor 7 in the conventional art can be used as a region for the sub-frame 5, and thus the sub-frame 5 can be increased in size comparing with the conventional art. As a result, the mass of the sub-frame 5 is more increased than in the conventional art, by which the vibration suppression effect can be enhanced.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 27, 2006Publication date: May 14, 2009Applicant: PIONEER CORPORATIONInventors: Tomonori Nakada, Akira Ohsuga

Patent number: 7401344Abstract: A recording/reproducing mechanism 3 includes a pickup mechanism irradiating light on a disc recording medium 4, a pickup feed mechanism moving the pickup mechanism, and a flat cover 33 having an opening 33A cut along a feeding direction of the pickup mechanism. The flat cover 33 is supported elastically in a direction toward and away from the tray 2. The tray 2 has a recessed portion allowing the flat cover 33 to move in the direction toward and away from the tray 2. A protrusion 5 is provided on the recessed portion to restrict deformation of the flat cover 33 and prevents the flat cover 33 from contacting to the disc recording medium upon dropping impact. Therefore, even if the edge of the opening 33A of the flat cover 33 is turned up due to the impact when the driver housing the disc recording medium 4 therein is dropped, the edge contacts to the protrusion 5.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2005Date of Patent: July 15, 2008Assignee: Pioneer CorporationInventors: Tomonori Nakada, Yuji Yamada
