    Abstract: A CCD image sensor is fixed on a Y-direction stage that is supported on an X-direction stage. When a piezo driver supplies voltage to an X-direction piezo element and a Y-direction piezo element, the CCD image sensor is moved in X and Y directions. The X-direction position sensor and the Y-direction position sensor detects the position information of the CCD image sensor in X and Y direction respectively, and send the position information to the piezo driver. The piezo driver sets a target movement of the CCD image sensor, and detects the actual movement of the CCD image sensor from the position information. The piezo driver adjusts the output voltage to the X-direction piezo element and the Y-direction piezo element such that the target movement becomes the same as the actual movement.

    Abstract: A flow sensor detects a flow rate of cooling air from a compressor, and a determination is made as to whether or not the detected flow rate is abnormal. A determination is made by a diaphragm position sensor as to whether or not a diaphragm is located at such a critical position that a quantity of light illuminated onto a photographic film is large, possibly resulting in degeneration of a photographic film. A lamp is turned off if the diaphragm is located at the critical position and the flow rate of the cooling air is abnormal.

After that, as setup for the fine scanning, a zoom magnification corresponding to the resolution inputted in S200 and the lens diaphragm condition are determined and then, respective sections are set to that zoom magnification and lens diaphragm condition (S208, 210). Then, fine-scan is carried out for all film images (S212-220).

    Abstract: A method and mechanism are disclosed for driving optical members in an optical apparatus, in which cam means formed on a lens barrel are provided with insensitive zones, so that the lens barrel is rotated to drive a diaphragm for adjustment of its diaphragm stop after the lens has been moved to the insensitive zones, then the lens barrel is rotated in the reverse direction with the diaphragm being maintained at its adjusted diaphragm stop, and thereby power variation and/or focussing of the lens as well as adjustment of the diaphragm stop are achieved using a single drive source. A cylindrical cam 40 is provided within a stationary lens barrel 30 so as to be rotatable around an optical axis S. The cylindrical cam 40 is formed with cam slits 41 each having insensitive zones 42 at longitudinally opposite ends thereof so that an enlarging lens 20 can not be further moved back and forth when lens driving pins 27 lie in these insensitive zones 42.

    Abstract: An object of this invention is to provide an original carrier and an image reader capable of performing a focusing operation every original carrier.To achieve this object, a slit hole 32 extending in a direction perpendicular to a film conveying direction is formed in a width enlarging portion of a film conveying path 34. Focusing charts 58 are formed on faces of a glass plate 38 fitted into the slit hole 32 on sides of the film conveying path 34 in both end portions of the glass plate 38 in its longitudinal direction. When light from a light source is transmitted through the focusing charts 58 of the glass plate 38 and is incident to a line CCD, focusing control is performed by a microprocessor so as to maximize the contrast of an image of each of the focusing charts 58. The focusing control can be also performed so as to maximize the contrast of an image of a photographic film 22.

    Abstract: The amount of light emitted from a lamp is adjusted by a turret and a diaphragm for each light of the component colors and is irradiated on a photographic film via a light diffusion box. Light transmitted through the photographic film is made incident on a three-line CCD via a lens unit. In order to read a film image, first, the photographic film is conveyed at high speed in a predetermined direction and is read under a predetermined reading condition (pre-scan), and based on image data obtained by the reading, a recorded position of each image is determined and a reading condition during fine scan is calculated for each image, and each image is read under the calculated reading condition while the film is conveyed at relatively low speed in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction (fine scan).

    Abstract: An image forming device and method. A first scanning device is provided under a transparent glass plate. An image of a paper original loaded on the transparent glass plate is scanned and exposed onto a photosensitive material at an exposure section by the first scanning device. A second scanning device formed from a light source unit, a scan table at which a film original is set, a zoom lens and a lens is provided next to the first scanning device. Further, a mirror, a lens and line sensor are disposed in that order below the scan table. Densities of an image of the film original are read by the line sensor for each pixel and for each color. After exposure conditions are determined based on the densities obtained by the line sensor, the image of the film original is scanned and exposed onto the photosensitive material by the second scanning device.

The light-attenuating filter is moved and a transmission region on the regions 54A1, 54A2, 54A3, . . . of light illuminated onto the original is adjusted, so that an amount of light illuminated onto the original becomes an amount of light corresponding to exposure conditions. When the amount of light corresponding to the exposure conditions is the minimum amount of light, the light-attenuating filter is moved so that light illuminated onto the original is transmitted through the region 54B.
