Abstract: The present invention provides a solid or powder hairdressing composition comprising the following (a) ingredient and (b) ingredient: (a) hair styling agent, and (b) polyethylene glycol having a mass-average molecular weight of 1,000-25,000. Accordingly, a hair cosmetic having both fixing ability and arranging ability, and also imparting an excellent sense of use (smoothness and moistness) is obtained.

In addition, this hair cosmetic preferably contains at least one component selected from a sugar, a sugar alcohol and an EO/PO derivative. Thus, a hair cosmetic having both a high hair-setting power and a good hair-arranging ability can be obtained.
