  • Patent number: 11911747
Abstract: Provided is an ammonia decomposition catalyst that exhibits high durability while maintaining high ammonia decomposition activity and low emissions of nitrogen oxides, for example, even under an atmosphere with a steam concentration of about 10% by volume. An ammonia decomposition catalyst capable of decomposing ammonia contained in an exhaust gas, the catalyst comprising an inorganic oxide loaded with an alloy containing Pt and Pd, and a zeolite.

  • Publication number: 20160339387
Abstract: An ammonia decomposition catalyst to be used for an ammonia exhaust gas having a high moisture content; and a method for purifying the ammonia exhaust gas. An ammonia decomposition catalyst for treating an ammonia exhaust gas containing moisture, the catalyst comprising: a lower layer having a noble metal, an inorganic oxide, phosphorus, and a first proton type zeolite or a first ion exchange type zeolite ion-exchanged with Cu, Co or Fe ions; and an upper layer provided on the lower layer and having a second proton type zeolite or a second ion exchange type zeolite ion-exchanged with Cu, Co or Fe ions.

  • Patent number: 8575054
Abstract: The present invention provides a catalyst composition which can decompose an organic nitrogen compound at a relatively low temperature to convert the compound to N2 and render it harmless in the purification of an exhaust gas containing the compound (nitrogen-based exhaust gas); a catalyst containing the catalyst composition; a method for producing the catalyst; and an exhaust gas purification apparatus containing the catalyst. By using a catalyst composition formed by mixing copper oxide particles and zeolite particles, an organic nitrogen compound and/or ammonia can be converted to N2 highly selectively. The catalyst composition of the present invention may further contain a manganese oxide and/or a precious metal.
